Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMCMC-Fuzzy: A Fuzzy Metric Applied to Bayesian Network Structure LearningBeatriz Wilges, Ademar Crotti Junior, Silvia Modesto NassarBayesian network structure learning is considered a complex task as the number of possible structures grows exponentially with the number of variables. Two main methods are used for Bayesian network structure learning: Conditional independence, a method in which a structure is created consistently with independence tests performed on data; and the heuristic search method that explores the structure space. Hybrid … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 8 · 24 Aug 2018 · 8,247 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Hybrid Clustering Process using a Genetic Fuzzy System for the Knowledge Base of a Fuzzy Rule-Based SystemHamedoun Lamiae, Attariuas Hicham, Ben Maati Mohamed LarbiThe present paper proposes a new Hybrid clustering Process based on Fuzzy Genetic System. The proposed Approach consists of two steps: (1) Using a method called Fuzzy clustering, all data elements will be clustered into N groups; (2) utilizing a Fuzzy Genetic System, for every level the fuzzy rule of adhesion will be generated. If we compare our research to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 12, Issue 12 · 6 Feb 2017 · 6,647 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDocument Clustering Based on Firefly AlgorithmAthraa Jasim Mohammed, Yuhanis Yusof, Husniza HusniDocument clustering is widely used in Information Retrieval however, existing clustering techniques suffer from local optima problem in determining the k number of clusters. Various efforts have been put to address such drawback and this includes the utilization of swarm-based algorithms such as particle swarm optimization and Ant Colony Optimization. This study explores the adaptation of another swarm algorithm which … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 26 Mar 2015 · 7,512 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractVHDL DESIGN AND HARDWARE REALIZATION OF HYBRIDARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ARCHITECTURERajeswaran Nagalingam, Tenneti Madhu, Munagala SuryakalavathiEvolutionary Algorithms (EA) use Genetic Algorithm (GA) in many optimization problems to efficiently compute the function value in less time. In this study the weight optimization of the Artificial Neural Net-work (ANN), using the Back Propagation Network (BPN), is tested and presented with GA. The combined architecture of Neuro-Genetic (Hybrid Artificial Intelligence) approach is proposed and simulated results are provided … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 5 · 24 Feb 2014 · 6,570 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Hybrid Retinal Image Registration Using Mutual InformationPradeepa Palraj, Ila VennilaImage registration has tremendous applications in medical industry both in diagnosis and therapy. But registering the retinal images is very difficult task because of the structural and illumination criteria. Normal registration algorithms are proved to be less effective and more complicated for such applications. This study aims at combining two methods of retinal image registration: Vessel based and non-vessel based … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 11 · 18 Sep 2013 · 6,694 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHybrid Ant-Based Clustering Algorithm with Cluster Analysis TechniquesWafa’a Omar, Amr Badr, Abd El-Fattah HegazyCluster analysis is a data mining technology designed to derive a good understanding of data to solve clustering problems by extracting useful information from a large volume of mixed data elements. Recently, researchers have aimed to derive clustering algorithms from nature’s swarm behaviors. Ant-based clustering is an approach inspired by the natural clustering and sorting behavior of ant colonies.
