Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSecure Selection of Multiple Resources Based on Virtual Private Network for Computational GridsG. Kavitha, V. SankaranarayananProblem statement: Grid computing provides a virtual framework for controlled sharing of resources across institutional boundaries. In computational grids, a client application is executed on the available set of resources that satisfy the user QoS requirements. Some applications require exhaustive computation power for execution of its tasks. In general, these tasks are assigned to a single available resource on the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 12 · 22 Oct 2011 · 7,607 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractScientific Data Sharing Using Clustered-Based Data Sharing in Grid EnvironmentRohaya Latip, Hamidah Ibrahim, Feras Ahmad Al-HanandehProblem statement: In a large dynamic network, data can be shared and accessed in an easy manner among researchers from various locations and access provided an efficient protocol to manage the data. Approach: A protocol is needed to ensure the data is consistent and accessible. Results: In this study, we introduced a new protocol, named Clustered-based Data Sharing (CDS) for … …American Journal of Economics and Business Administration, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2011 · 8,165 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractVision-Based Obstacle Avoidance of Mobile Robot Using Quantized Spatial ModelSalaheddin Odeh, Rasha Faqeh, Laila Abu Eid, Nihal ShamasnehProblem statement: Problem of moving a robot through unknown environment has attracted much attention over past two decades. Such problems have several difficulties and complexities that are unobserved, besides the ambiguity of how this can be achieved since a robot may encounter obstacles of all forms that must be bypassed in an intelligent manner. This research had been aimed to … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2009 · 8,053 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIncremental DataGrid Mining Algorithm for Mobility Prediction of Mobile UsersU. Sakthi, R.S. BhuvaneswaranProblem statement: Mobility prediction is the important issue in Personal Communication Systems (PCS). Mobile users moving logs are stored in data grid located in different locations. Distributed data mining algorithm is applied on this moving logs to generate the mobility pattern of mobile users. As new moving logs are added to the data grid, existing mobility pattern becomes invalid and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2009 · 6,775 accessesView PDF Cite

RamliProblem statement: With the growing popularity of clustering application combined with apparent usability, the single system image is in the limelight and actively studied as an alternative solution for computational intensive applications as well as the platform for next evolutionary grid computing era. Approach: Existing researches in this field concentrated on various features of Single System Images like file system … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2008 · 8,628 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Multi-Agent Architecture for QoS Support in Grid EnvironmentAli Rezaee, Amir M. Rahmani, Saeed Parsa, Sahar AdabiGrid computing is emerged as a new distributed computing technology that implements flexible and coordinated resource sharing among dynamic, heterogeneous, unpredictable and geographically distributed collections of resources owned by different individuals and organizations. Due to heterogeneous and dynamic nature of the grid, resource management and application scheduling is a complex undertaking. This paper proposed a multi-agent architecture that addressed resource … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 7,081 accessesView PDF Cite
