Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordEfficient Implementation of Stochastic Computing Based Deep Neural Network on Low Cost Hardware with Saturation ArithmeticSunny Bodiwala, Nirali NanavatiThis study presents an efficient and rapid implementation of Stochastic Computing (SC) based Deep Neural Network (DNN) on a low-cost hardware platform. The proposed technique uses bipolar signal encoding in stochastic computing which relatively gives low hardware footprint compared to binary computing. Thereinafter, stochastic max function is presented and subsequently used to approximate the hyperbolic tangent activation function in SC. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 11 · 17 Nov 2020 · 6,875 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordThe Optimal Implementation of a Generator of SinusoidSouhila Boudjema, Kaddour SaouchiThe embedded systems occupy a place increasingly important in our daily life. In recent years much of research it is focused on the miniaturization of the various electronic devices. In this study we present the architecture of a digital generator of frequency based on trigonometrically algorithm to obtain sample high frequencies. We treat a comparative study between various processors CORDIC: … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 8 · 17 Sep 2015 · 6,292 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordDesign and Implementation of Novel Artificial Neural Network Based Stock Market Forecasting System on Field-Programmable Gate ArraysMd. Syedul Amin, Md. Mamun, Fazida Hanim Hashim et al.Problem statement: Multiagent system is very proficient and has rules well-suited for financial forecast with its neural network. In financial forecasting, the approach for rules extractions is less pertinent and involves algorithms which are complex. The unsupervised network method lacks in comprehensibility and leads to ambiguity. Approach: The application of neural network technology to real-time processing of financial market analysis … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 10 · 12 Sep 2011 · 7,627 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordBraun's Multipliers: Spartan-3AN based Design and ImplementationMuhammad H. Rais, Mohammed H. Al MijalliProblem statement: Multiplication is an essential airthematic operation for common Digital Signal Processing (DSP) applications, such as filtering and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). To achieve high execution speed, parallel array multipliers are widely used. Approach: The field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) is currently the dominant and viable technology that could be implemented and reconfigured at the same time. Results: The … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 11 · 18 Aug 2011 · 6,909 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Real-time Image Processing with a Compact FPGA-based ArchitectureRidha Djemal, Didier Demigny, Rached TourkiThis study have presented a filed programmable gate array implementation of a real time video smoothing algorithm. In comparison with smoothing video techniques like deblocking filters in H.264 or smoothing in JPEG2000, the proposed method is implemented in hardware and its computational cost and complexity are reduced where all pixel processing related to uncompressed video is done on the fly. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 7,001 accessesView PDFCite
