Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractBluetooth Wireless Monitoring, Managing and Control for Inter Vehicle in Vehicular Ad-Hoc NetworksHelia Mamdouhi, Sabira Khatun, Javad ZarrinProblem statement: The car users expect more and more accessories available in their cars, but the accessories available needed manage by driver manually and not properly manage by smart system. All these accessories are able to control by user manually using different and standalone controllers. Besides, the controller itself uses RF technology which is not existed in mobile devices. So … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2009 · 8,978 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Modified Conjugate Gradient Formula for Back Propagation Neural Network AlgorithmAbbas Y. Al Bayati, Najmaddin A. Sulaiman, Gulnar W. SadiqProblem statement: The Conjugate Gradient (CG) algorithm which usually used for solving nonlinear functions is presented and is combined with the modified Back Propagation (BP) algorithm yielding a new fast training multilayer algorithm. Approach: This study consisted of determination of new search directions by exploiting the information calculated by gradient descent as well as the previous search direction. The proposed … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 11 · 30 Dec 2009 · 6,989 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractTraffic Signal Using Smart Agent SystemCheonshik Kim, You-Sik HongIn this research, we propose an electro-sensitive traffic light using the smart agent algorithm to reduce traffic congestion and traffic accidents. The multi-agent system approach can provide a new and preferable solution. The proposed method adaptively controls the cycle of traffic signals even though the traffic volume varies. Consequently, we reduce the car waiting time and start-up delay time using … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2008 · 6,957 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Analysis of Call Admission Control in WCDMA Systems with Mobility based Interference Margin ReservationS. Malarkkan, V. C. RavichandranThis study presents performance of call admission control and resource reservation schemes based on the mobility of the users in WCDMA cellular systems. In order to guarantee the handoff dropping probability, the mobility of the user is predicted based on a realistic mobility model. The mobility prediction scheme used in this study is used to estimate the set of candidate … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2006 · 6,384 accessesView PDF Cite
