Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPerformance Evaluation of Channel Propagation Models and Developed Model for Mobile CommunicationYahia ZakariaPropagation models represent a solidifying of mathematical equations and algorithms that are used for radio signal propagation prediction in specific regions. In this research different propagation models are analyzed and compared. These propagation models have been proposed at the operating frequency of 3.8 GHz for different transmitter antenna heights in all types of terrain. These propagation models depend on location, … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2017 · 8,409 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMultiple-Input Multiple-Output Transmission Over a Multipath Faded ChannelsI.A.Z. QatawnehThe use of multiple antennas at the transmitter as well as at the receiver can greatly improve the capacity of a wireless link when operating in a rich scattering environment. In such an arrangement all transmitting antennas radiate in the same frequency band so the overall spectral efficiency becomes very high. Such a multiple antenna scheme, popularly known as Multiple … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 11 Mar 2013 · 6,417 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDesign Analysis of An Electromagnetic Band Gap Microstrip AntennaM.S. Alam, M.T. Islam, N. MisranProblem statement: Wideband compact antenna is highly demandable due to the dynamic development in the wireless technology. Approach: A simple, compact EBG microstrip antenna is proposed in this study that covers a wideband of 250 GHz and the design is conformal with the 2.45 GHz ISM band (WLAN, IEEE 802.11b and g)/Bluetooth/RFID applications. Results: A 6×6 array of square unit … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 27 Oct 2011 · 7,368 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsEvaluation of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) System Capacity with Spatial CorrelationsT. Gunasekaran, K. R. Shankar KumarProblem statement: Today’s wireless technologies just won’t get us to the hyper connectivity of uninterrupted access from any mobile device with unlimited bandwidth at real-time speeds. This is due to the low data throughput and scarcity in spectrum. Approach: Under the condition of uncorrelated antenna elements, capacity of the Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system can be increased linearly with … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 4 Aug 2011 · 8,108 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsQuality of Service Policy for IEEE 802.11 Networks with Service Rate Selection based on Fairness IndexLia Toledo Moreira Mota, Alexandre de Assis Mota, Luis Fernando FontolanProblem statement: The IEEE802.11 standard states that all stations have the same probability of accessing the network, but does not consider important parameters such as transmission rates and signal-to-noise ratios. However, these networks present an anomaly that allows a station with a low transmission rate to use the communication channel for a long time. Approach: In this context, this study … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 6,660 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsRandom Graph Generation Based p-Method and Box Method for the Evaluation of Power-Aware Routing Protocols of Ad hoc NetworksSaleh H. Al-SharaehThe objective of this paper is to investigate the best solution such that on which decision should be made to forward a wireless packet. The decision should be made in such a way to keep the node alive by choosing an alternate path, through those nodes that have more power reserve. Minimizing the consumption of the reserve power will results … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2008 · 6,762 accessesView PDFCite
