Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleThe Coordinated Scheduling Support System of Production and DeliveryMing-Feng Yang, Yi LinProblem statement: Traditional scheduling models which only address the sequence of jobs to be processed at the production stage under some criteria are no longer suitable and should be extended to cope with the distribution stage after production. In a rapidly changing environment, competition among enterprises has a tendency to turn towards competing between supply chain systems instead of competing … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2009 · 6,798 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleExploring Spatial ARM (Spatial Association Rule Mining) for Geo-Decision Support SystemRanjana Vyas, Lokesh Kumar Sharma, U. S. TiwaryGeographical Decision Support System (Geo-DSS) is a demanding field, since enormous amount of spatial data have been collected in various applications, ranging form Remote Sensing to GIS, Computer Cartography, Environmental Assessment and Planning. Although some efforts were made to combine spatial mining with Spatial Decision Support System but mostly researchers for spatial database are using a popular data mining approach-Apriori … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2007 · 6,956 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSupport Measure Admissibility Based on Operations on Instance GraphsFord Lumban GaolThe concept of support is central to data mining. While the definition of support in transaction databases is intuitive and simple, that is not the case in graph datasets and databases. Most mining algorithms require the support of a pattern to be no grater than that of its subpatterns, a property called anti-monotonicity or admissibility. This study examines the requirements … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 6,825 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEnhanced Decision Support System Applications Based on Complex Intuitionistic Fuzzy Soft Expert Sets TheoryMalek Alksasbeh, Mohammad Al-kaseasbeh, Saba Al-Kaseasbeh et al.Decision making is one of the important milestones in the development of various real-life aspects. Decision Support System (DSS) is a computerized information system used to enhance decision-making in several areas. This study aims to improve DSS applications by extending two concepts of complex intuitionistic fuzzy sets and soft expert sets to propose the theory of complex intuitionistic fuzzy soft … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 5 · 27 Nov 2017 · 7,762 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMulti-Phase Support Vector Regression Soft Sensor for Online Product Quality Prediction in Glutamate Fermentation ProcessRongjian Zheng, Feng PanGlutamate fermentation is inherently nonlinear, multi-phase and an aerobic fermentation process. As long measurement delays and expensive apparatus cost, on-line measurement of the product concentration is not necessarily available. The present fermentation process monitoring and quality prediction involve manual interpretation of highly informative, however, the concentrations of substrates, biomass and products are only low frequency off-line measurements. In this paper, … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 13, Issue 2 · 6 Jun 2017 · 8,067 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEvaluation of Customer Behaviour Irregularities in Cameroon Electricity Network using Support Vector MachineLekini Nkodo Claude Bernard, Ndzana Benoît, Oumarou HamandjodaNon-Technical Losses (NTLs) in the Cameroonians electricity network are approximately 30 to 40% of production and are estimated at several billion CFA francs per year for National Electricity Company (ENEO); Hence the importance of finding effective solutions to fight against these losses. The purpose of this work was to develop a tool for the fraud detection for Cameroon National Electricity … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 1 · 6 Jan 2017 · 7,544 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Soft Sensor Modelling of Biomass Concentration during Fermentation using Accurate Incremental Online v-Support Vector Regression Learning AlgorithmBinjie Gu, Feng PanIn order to model real fermentation process, a soft sensor modelling of biomass concentration during fermentation using accurate incremental online ν-Support Vector Regression (ν-SVR) learning algorithm was proposed. Firstly, an accurate incremental online ν-SVR learning algorithm was proposed. This algorithm solved the two complications introduced in the dual problem based on the equivalent formulation of ν-SVR. Moreover, it addressed the … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 8 Aug 2015 · 7,327 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFUZZY SIMPLE ADDITIVE WEIGHTING BASED, DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM APPLICATION FOR ALTERNATIVE CONFUSION REDUCTION STRATEGY IN SMARTPHONE PURCHASESRobertus Nugroho Perwiro Atmojo, Anindito, Bens Pardamean et al.Consumer confusion is a phenomena when the consumer experiencing several confusion problems when she/he should to purchase products/services. Usually, consumer will do a strategy to coping the confusion, that strategy is known as Confusion Reduction Strategy. The conventional ways usually taken by the consumer to reduce the confusion are, such as: Asking for product recommendation to close relatives, seeking for … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 4 · 8 Feb 2014 · 7,588 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDAILY CRUDE OIL PRICE FORECASTING MODEL USING ARIMA, GENERALIZED AUTOREGRESSIVE CONDITIONAL HETEROSCEDASTIC AND SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINESRana Abdullah Ahmed, Ani Bin ShabriCrude oil price forecasting is gaining increased interest globally. This interest is due mainly to the economic value attached to the product. For this reason, new forecasting methods are proposed in the literature. This paper proposes a novel technique for forecasting crude oil price based on Support Vector Machines (SVM). Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA NOVEL MULTICLASS SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINE ALGORITHM USING MEAN REVERSION AND COEFFICIENT OF VARIANCEBhusana Premanode, Jumlong Vongprasert, Nop Sopipan, Christofer ToumazouInaccuracy of a kernel function used in Support Vector Machine (SVM) can be found when simulated with nonlinear and stationary datasets. To minimise the error, we propose a new multiclass SVM model using mean reversion and coefficient of variance algorithm to partition and classify imbalance in datasets. By introducing a series of test statistic, simulations of the proposed algorithm outperformed … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 9, Issue 3 · 31 Jul 2013 · 6,932 accessesView PDFCite
