Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA BROADCAST BASED ROUTING PROTOCOL FOR INTER-CLUSTER DATA DISSEMINATION IN VEHICULAR COMMUNICATIONAuxeeliya Jesudoss, S. V. Kasmir Raja, Ashraph SulaimanVehicular communication is one of the fast growing and promising technologies for a safe and comfortable driving environment. These technologies do not end up with economic and safety ramifications, but also extended with other informational and entertainment oriented services. Data are being propagated multi-hop between source and destination vehicles for many real-life applications. Clustering is one of the effective and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 5 · 30 Dec 2013 · 7,522 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDelay and Power Reduction in New Routing FabricsS. Vijayakumar, J. Sundararajan, P. Kumar, K. NithyaIn this study we created a new routing fabric for reducing power and delay. The power consumed in a FPGA core consists of both static and dynamic components. Static power contributes only 10% of the total power consumed in a FPGA. On the other hand, dynamic power contributes over 90% of the total power consumed and it is the main … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 23 Oct 2013 · 6,449 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleREPLACEMENT MECHANISM OF CACHING TECHNIQUE FOR QUERY ROUTING IN PEER TO PEER NETWORKSUsha Veerasamy Arivazhagu, Subramaniam SrinivasanIn this approach we are proposing an extension to our previous work which deals with Trust Based Routing in the peer to peer network. This peer to peer network is carried out without using a caching mechanism to store the data packets while routing. To achieve this caching mechanism we have proposed methods for caching the data packets in the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 6,376 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleLink Stability with Energy Aware Ad Hoc on Demand Multipath Routing Protocol in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksSenthil Murugan Tamilarasan, Kannan EswariahMobile Ad Hoc Network is one of the wireless network in which mobile nodes are communicate with each other and have no infrastructure because no access point. The MANET protocols can be classified as proactive and reactive routing protocol. The proactive routing protocols, all nodes which participated in network have routing table. This table updated periodically and is used to … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 24 Jul 2013 · 6,505 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleProtocols for Secure Routing and Transmission in Mobile Ad Hoc Network: A ReviewMohamed Othman, Salwa Aqeel Mahdi, Hamidah Ibrahim et al.Mobile ad hoc network security is a new area for research that it has been faced many difficulties to implement. These difficulties are due to the absence of central authentication server, the dynamically movement of the nodes (mobility), limited capacity of the wireless medium and the various types of vulnerability attacks. All these factor combine to make mobile ad hoc … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 25 May 2013 · 8,208 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA New Policy for Path Selection in Dynamic Source Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad-Hoc NetworksRagb O.M. Saleh, Md Yazid Mohd Saman, M. Nordin A. RahmanIn standard DSR protocol, nodes automatically discover and maintain the routes in the network by storing source routes, discovered dynamically on-demand. They maintain route caches that contain the source routes which the node is aware of. Entries are continually updated when new routes are learned and reorder the cached routes according to the traditional shortest path policy. The problem with … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 17 May 2013 · 6,216 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSecured Routing with Authentication in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksT. Guru Baskar, D. ManimegalaiA Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically forms a temporary network without any fixed infrastructure. Each node participates in the ad hoc routing protocol that helps it to discover multi-hop paths through the network to any node. Security challenges have become a primary concern for these networks due to their characteristics such … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 9 May 2013 · 6,065 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImpulse Radio Ultra Wide Band Based Mobile Adhoc Network Routing Performance AnalysisM. Sreedhar, C. VenkateshThis study presents with the routing overhead analysis of impulse radio - Ultra Wide Band based wireless networks which Employs Dynamic Nature Routing (EDNR) method for determining and selecting the stable route in Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET). This method requires only two sample packets and uses piggyback information on Route-Request (RREQ) and Route-Reply (RREP) packets during a route-discovery procedure. Conventional … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 15 Apr 2013 · 5,887 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleRandom Dummy Packet Distribution Approach for Detection of Routing Misbehavior in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkT. Sakthivel, R. M. Chandrasekaran, S. Vijay BhanuA Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) works on the assumption that mobile nodes are cooperative. On the other hand, in practical, it may not be possible due to selfish, malicious and misbehaving nodes present in the network. These nodes are capable of interrupting the communication process and there is a potential for serious performance degradation. To improve the performance of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 6 Nov 2012 · 6,974 accessesView PDFCite
