Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIdentification of Pecan Weevils through Image ProcessingS.M. Al-Saqer, P. Weckler, J. Solie et al.Abstract: Problem Statement: Pecan weevil is one of the most destructive pests of Oklahoma. The scope of this study is to develop a recognition system that can serve in a wireless imaging network for monitoring pecan weevils. Approach: The recognition methods used in this study are based on template matching. Five recognition methods were implemented: Normalized cross-correlation, Fourier descriptors, Zernike … …American Journal of Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 15 Dec 2010 · 8,775 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Frame Study for Post-Processing Analysis on System Behavior: A Case Study of Deadline Miss DetectionJunghee Lee, Jongman KimProblem statement: A lot of data can be obtained by system simulation using transaction level models without affecting the performance of the system. Due to huge amount of the raw data, we often need to post-process them to extract valuable information. Profiling capabilities of commercial tools provide predefined functionalities and don’t allow users to add or modify for their own … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 22 Nov 2010 · 6,741 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleComparing Reading Processing Strategies of Second Language ReadersParilah M. Shah, Aminuddin Yusof, Suhana M. Lip et al.Problem statement: The message that a writer tries to convey in a text would be subjected to several interpretations by readers. Apparently, reading is a complex process of getting input. A well-known researcher offers two views of reading: (i) reading is a process of decoding written symbols and (ii) reading is a process of reconstructing meaning. It has also been … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2010 · 7,908 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAnalysis of Speech Processing Strategies in Cochlear ImplantsKouachi Rouiha, Djedou Bachir, Bouchaala AliCochlear implants can restore partial hearing to profoundly deaf people; the main function of these prostheses is to electrically stimulate the auditory nerve using an electrode array inserted in the cochlea. The acoustic signal is picked up by a microphone and analyzed. Then the extracted parameters of the signal are coded to generate electrical signals reconstituting the original signal. Currently … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 5 · 31 May 2008 · 6,839 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImage Pre-Processing Techniques to Improve DBT Classification Accuracy With CNN ResNet-50Qodri Aziz, Slamet Riyadi et al.Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) is a three-dimensional imaging technology that is meant to determine breast cancer more accurately than regular mammograms. But low contrast and noise can make DBT images less clear, which can make deep learning-based classification less accurate. This study seeks to assess the impact of diverse preprocessing techniques on breast cancer classification outcomes utilizing the ResNet-50 Convolutional … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 10 · 21 Oct 2026 · 349 accessesView PDFCite
