Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNanoboticsRelly Victoria Virgil PetrescuNanobotics (or Nanorobotics) is a field of emerging technology that deals with the creation of robots whose components are typically the size of a molecule or nanometer (10-9 meters). More specifically, nanorobotics refers to nanotechnology, an engineering discipline that designs and builds nanorobots that have movement, processing and transmission characteristics, program execution, etc. Nanomachines are largely in the research and … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 19 Jul 2020 · 7,788 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Comprehensive Review of Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing): Processes, Applications and Future PotentialSantosh Kumar Parupelli, Salil DesaiAdditive manufacturing (AM) also known as 3D printing is a technology that builds three-dimensional (3-D) solid objects. Customized 3D objects with complex geometries and integrated functional designs can be created using 3D printing. A comprehensive review of AM process with emphasis on recent advances achieved by various researchers and industries is discussed. Summary of each 3D printing technology capabilities, advantages … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 16, Issue 8 · 9 Oct 2019 · 14,164 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractObject Detection and Classification from Thermal Images Using Region based Convolutional Neural NetworkUsha Mittal, Sonal Srivastava, Priyanka ChawlaIn recent years, object detection and classification has gained so much popularity in different application areas like face detection, self- driving cars, pedestrian detection, security surveillance systems etc. The traditional detection methods like background subtraction, Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM), Support Vector Machine (SVM) have certain drawbacks like overlapping of objects, distortion due to smoke, fog, lightening conditions etc. In this … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 7 · 18 Jul 2019 · 9,454 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDeep Learning and Image Analytics for Forest Land Management: Classification, and Object DetectionDevam Dixit, Aditya Bhavsar, Shreyas Jani, Nilesh YadavRapid urbanization and industrialization have contributed to deforestation which has led to a severe degradation of the environment and biodiversity loss. Traditional field survey methods are not applicable in the monitoring of large forest areas due to the fact that such methods are manual, costly and time consuming as well as subject to human error. The current methods of remote … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 26 Mar 2026 · 1,602 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDetecting Anomalies in IoT Using Intuitionistic Fuzzy Clustering AlgorithmsVijo Arul Selvi M., Fehmin Nadira Laskar, Fokrul Alom Mazarbhuiya et al.Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFS) are convenient ways to represent the vagueness and uncertainty inherent in any dataset. There are many uses of these. One such use is the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) algorithm, which clusters the data objects into a pre-assigned (c) number of fuzzy clusters, which has been adopted in many fields, namely, pattern classification, anomaly detection, fraud identification, etc. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 2 · 2 Mar 2026 · 1,606 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Multi-Modal Image Fusion Approach for Visual and Infrared Images via Shearlet-Based DecompositionApoorav Sharma, Shagun Sharma, Kalpna Guleria et al.The integration of optical lens technologies with night vision has become necessary due to the increasing demand to enhance public safety and surveillance, particularly in vulnerable areas, public transportation, and airports. Due to vision clarity issues or the lack of thermal information, conventional single-modality systems often fail to detect concealed dangers. This research presents a multimodal image fusion architecture that … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 1 · 2 Feb 2026 · 1,906 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Improved Object Detection Technique for Hazard Avoidance SystemsSupreet Kaur Deol, P.W.C. Prasad, Abeer Alsadoon, A. ElchouemiHazard detection and avoidance at construction sites working with heavy equipment and moving vehicles is one of the biggest issues in modern surveillance. Background subtraction using a Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) is widely utilized for identification of moving objects with most existing methods leading to improvements but lacking accuracy of object detection. This paper aims to improve accuracy and processing … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 7 · 27 Sep 2018 · 8,198 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEffect of Object Size and Location on Contact Forces and Grasping Stability for an Underactuated Robotic ManipulatorSomer Matti Nacy, Ahmed Abdulsalam NayifThis paper comprises a study of the grasping stability for an underactuated robotic manipulator under the condition of varying the position of different sizes cylindrical grasped objects. Grasping forces were calculated both theoretically and Via a CAD model for a 3-DOF underactuated robotic manipulator. The experimental part comprises the fabrication of the manipulator and performing the required tests on this … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 24 May 2018 · 7,044 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNASA has Found the Most Distant Black HoleRelly Victoria Petrescu, Raffaella Aversa, Antonio Apicella, Florian Ion Tiberiu PetrescuScientists have uncovered a rare relic from the early universe: the farthest known supermassive black hole. This matter-eating beast is 800 million times the mass of our Sun, which is astonishingly large for its young age. Researchers report the find in the journal Nature. "This black hole grew far larger than we expected in only 690 million years after the … …Journal of Aircraft and Spacecraft Technology, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 18 Jan 2018 · 7,298 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSignal Pathway Regulation in Mammalian Cells in Wireless Communication EnvironmentShengdong LiTo regulate the signal pathway in mammalian cells in a wireless communication environment, an LED light stimulation system has been designed and constructed. To avoid interference from too many data lines, a wireless communication mode has been employed. In this study, HeLa cells and Drosophila melanogaster cells are used as the research objects.
