Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordConvergent Tangent Estimator for Discrete Objects Based on Isothetic CoversYumnam Surajkanta, Shyamosree PalIn this article, we propose a tangent estimation method for discrete object based on isothetic covers. We introduce a concept of maximal isothetic straight segments as a maximal segment of isothetic covers that are linearly separable. A new tangent estimator is proposed as a function of maximal isothetic straight segments. Upper bound for the tangent estimator are derived and show … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 4 · 21 Apr 2020 · 6,892 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA NEW METHOD FOR 3D SHAPE INDEXING AND RETRIEVAL IN LARGE DATABASE BY USING THE LEVEL CUTA. Lakehal, M. Elkhal, K. SatoriIn this study, we propose a new method for indexing and retrieval of 3D models in large databases based on binary images extracted from the 3D object called &#34level cut&#34 LC. These cuts are obtained by the intersection of the set of the plans with the 3D object. A set of equidistant parallel plans generates by the intersection with the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 10 · 22 May 2014 · 6,824 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordShot Detection Using Genetic Edge Histogram and Object Based Video Retrieval Using Multiple FeaturesR. Kanagavalli, K. DuraiswamyAs the usage of multimedia data increasing rapidly, how to get the video data we need efficiently become so important. Recent advances in multimedia technologies allow the capture and storage of video data with relatively inexpensive computers. Problem Statement: However, without appropriate search techniques all these data are hardly usable. Users want to query the content instead of the raw … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 3 Aug 2012 · 6,853 accessesView PDF Cite
