Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFuzzy Based Dynamic Buffer Management in Wimax 16m NetworksD. Karunkuzhali, Dinesh Chandra TomarIn WiMAX 16m networks, buffer allocation is the major problem to be handled for offering Quality of Service (QoS). The lack of buffers increases the packet loss and queuing delay. In this study we propose a fuzzy based dynamic buffer management in WiMAX 16 m network. The Base Station (BS) estimates the parameters such as number of user requests, flow … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 8 Nov 2012 · 6,815 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSpeed Control of Switched Reluctance Motor Using New Hybrid Particle Swarm OptimizationT. V. Mahendiran, K. Thanushkodi, P. ThangamProblem statement: The main objective of this research is to obtain the speed control of switched reluctance motor with minimum settling time and without overshoot. Approach: A new algorithm has been developed with the combination of differential evolution and particle swarm optimization and applied for speed control of switched reluctance motor under sudden change in speed. Also speed control of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 9 · 10 Aug 2012 · 7,440 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Fuzzy Logic Based Power Control for Wideband Code Division Multiple Access Wireless NetworksN. Mohan, T. RavichandranProblem statement: Resource management is one of the most important engineering issues in 3G systems where multiple traffic classes are supported each being characterized by its required Quality of Service (QoS) parameters. Call Admission Control (CAC) is one of the resource management functions, which regulates network access to ensure QoS provisioning. Efficient CAC is necessary for the QoS provisioning in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 4 Aug 2012 · 6,760 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFuzzy Based Secure Data Aggregation Technique in Wireless Sensor NetworksD. HevinRajesh, B. ParamasivanProblem statement: Secure data aggregation is a challenging task in wireless sensor network due to the facts like more complexity, greater overhead in the case of cryptographic techniques. These issues need to be overcome using efficient technique. Approach: We propose a fuzzy based secure data aggregation technique which was having 3 phases. In its first phase, it performs clustering and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 17 Mar 2012 · 7,257 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImplementation of a Novel Control Strategy Using Fuzzy Logic Controller to Shunt Active Filter for Line Harmonic ReductionN. Senthilnathan, T. ManigandanProblem statement: Now days, power quality has been given attention due to the intensive use of power electronic equipments in all types of industries such as steel, paper, textile industries and so on. These power electronic devices induce harmonic distortion into the supply lines which gives rise to many undesirable effects. Approach: This study presents a new method for harmonic … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 29 Feb 2012 · 7,092 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Optimal Path Management Strategy in Mobile Ad Hoc Network Using Fuzzy and Rough Set TheoryP. Seethalakshmi, M. Joseph Auxilius Jude, G. RajendranProblem statement: Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically forms a network. Most of the existing ad-hoc routing algorithms select the shortest path using various resources. However the selected path may not consider all the network parameters and this would result in link instability in the network. The problems with existing methods are … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 15 Oct 2011 · 7,671 accessesView PDFCite
