Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA BIO-SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM USING EFFICIENT ALGORITHM FOR INFORMATION SHARING APPLICATIONSShobhanjaly P. Nair, K. Silambarasan, N. Bindhu, R. SrinivasanBio-Surveillance represents a health information system for public that stores and integrates health related information and data across a variety of data. Bio-surveillance strategies are projected for detection of disease outbreaks from existing diagnostic data, but their performance is typically not understandable. The focus of the paper is to develop a bio-surveillance system which can serve the aim of biosurveillance … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 7 · 17 Jun 2014 · 7,044 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsCLUSTER BASED DUPLICATE DETECTIONA. Venkatesh Kumar, S. VengataasalamWe propose a clustering technique for entropy based text dis-similarity calculation of de-duplication system. Improve the quality of grouping; in this study we propose a Multi-Level Group Detection (MLGD) algorithm which produces a most accurate group with most closely related object using Alternative Decision Tree (ADT) technique. Our propose a two new algorithm; first one is Multi-Level Group Detection (MLGD) … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 28 Sep 2013 · 7,039 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Distributed Coverage and Target Tracking Algorithm for Wireless Sensor NetworksM. Senthamilselvi, N. DevarajanProblem statement: Due to communication, processing and energy constraints, tracking in sensor networks creates different challenges. Since existing algorithms utilized the information from all the sensors for tracking, it results in higher expenditure of energy and reduced lifetime for the network. Approach: We propose to develop a distributed coverage and target tracking algorithm for wireless sensor networks. Tracking issue is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 3 · 6 Jan 2012 · 6,700 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsHighway Traffic Incident Detection using High-Resolution Aerial Remote Sensing ImagerySeyed Mostafa Mousavi Kahaki, Md. Jan NordinProblem statement: As vehicle population increases, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) become more significant and mandatory in today’s overpopulated world. Vital problems in transportation such as mobility and safety of transportation are considered more, especially in metropolitans and highways. The main road traffic monitoring aims are: the acquisition and analysis of traffic figures, such as number of vehicles, incident detection and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 15 Jun 2011 · 7,712 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Comparative Study in Classification Techniques for Unsupervised Record Linkage ModelMohammadreza Ektefa, Fatimah Sidi, Hamidah Ibrahim et al.Problem statement: Record linkage is a technique which is used to detect and match duplicate records which are generated in data integration process. A variety of record linkage algorithms with different steps have been developed in order to detect such duplicate records. To find out whether two records are duplicate or not, supervised and unsupervised classification techniques are utilized in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 7 Mar 2011 · 8,201 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsHandling Web and Database Requests Using Fuzzy Rules for Anomaly Intrusion DetectionSelvamani Kadirvelu, Kannan ArputharajProblem statement: It is necessary to propose suitable detection and prevention mechanisms to provide security for the information contents used by the web application. Many prevention mechanisms which are currently available are not able to classify anomalous, random and normal request. This leads to the problem of false positives which is classifying a normal request as anomalous and denying access … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 7,307 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsEnhancing E-Banking Security and Personalization through Convolutional Neural Network-Based Facial RecognitionRamy Kamal Amin, Ghada A. El Khayat, Farid El Sahn, Abeer A. AmerFacial recognition technology has become a cornerstone in enhancing the security and user experience of electronic banking services. Its ability to provide a seamless yet secure authentication method is vital in combating fraud and maintaining the integrity of online financial transactions. This study presents the development of an advanced electronic banking system that strengthens security through the integration of a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 10 · 7 Dec 2025 · 3,319 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAutomatic Boundary Detection of Wall Motion in Two-dimensional Echocardiography ImagesFaten Abed Ali Dawood, Rahmita Wirza Rahmat, Mohd Zamrin Dimon et al.Problem statement: Medical image analysis is a particularly difficult problem because the inherent characteristics of these images, including low contrast, speckle noise, signal dropouts and complex anatomical structures. An accurate analysis of wall motion in Two-dimensional echocardiography images is “important clinical diagnosis parameter for many cardiovascular diseases”. A challenge most researchers faced is how to speed up the clinical decisions … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 15 Jul 2011 · 8,192 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Improved Location aided Cluster Based Routing Protocol with Intrusion Detection System in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksS. Mangai, A. TamilarasiProblem statement: Routing and security are the main challenges for ad hoc networks due to dynamic topology as well as resource constraints. A designed protocol must provide scalable routing with better security. Lack of any central coordination and shared wireless medium makes them more vulnerable to attacks than wired networks. And also resource constraints such as limited energy and size … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 7,107 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMethod of Object Detection for Mobile RobotSurachai PanichProblem statement: In general, there are two steps of object detection, which are object generation, where the locations of possible objects are in an image and object verification, where tests are performed to verify the presence of object in an image. Approach: The purpose of the proposed object recognition system was to detect the object which is in front the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 10 · 24 Aug 2010 · 7,432 accessesView PDFCite
