Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCredence Aware Data Aggregation for Wireless Sensor NetworksSwathi S, Yogish H K, Deepa Yogish, Asha NTo ensure data's reliability and credibility in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), we provide an effective Credence-aware in-network aggregation design in persistent wireless sensor networks. This approach was motivated by a well-studied reputation and Credence relationships within social sciences. The proposed method uses an efficient CSDA algorithm to get more accurate results in terms of response time, penalty weights, the number … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 4 · 27 Apr 2022 · 6,388 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFault Node Detection and Connectivity Restoration with Mobile Relay Node in Wireless Sensor NetworksM.P. Anuradha, A.M. Swetha, Manivannan DoraipandianIn Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), node failure is an imperative concern in a hostile environment. These node failures create disjoints in the network and leads to a network partitioning problem. It is important for the nodes to be alive and communicate with each other to check the network connectivity. Replacement of Mobile Relay Nodes (MRN) in the location of faulty … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 4 · 1 Apr 2020 · 7,917 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleImplementation of Homomorphic Encryption for Wireless Sensor Networks Integrated with Cloud InfrastructureChristophe Ishimwe Ngabo, Omar El BeqqaliWith the current explosion of cloud services, it is easy for everyone to store the prodigious amount of data on remote servers. On the other hand, service providers are given full access to our information, or in the worst case, can be intercepted by malicious people. The solution is to encrypt the data to make it completely secret. But then, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 2 · 8 Feb 2019 · 7,668 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Comparative Study of Mobility Models for Wireless Sensor NetworksAnas Abu TalebWireless sensor networks consist of hundreds or thousands of small, lightweight and low-powered sensor nodes that are deployed in the area of interest to collect information in an unattended manner. Since sensor nodes have limited battery, many research papers proposed techniques to enhance the performance and lifetime of wireless sensor networks. Using energy rich mobile sink to collect data from … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 10 · 10 Oct 2018 · 8,063 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleWNBLI - A Multifarious Liability Examination for Wireless Sensor NetworksTamilarasi B., UmaRani R.Wireless communications has completely revolutionized the living environment, just as personal computers forever altered the way of working in the 1980’s and the Internet dramatically changed the obtainment and accessing way of information in the 1990’s. Wireless sensor networks are evolving to a new level. The Failure liability is a very prominent problem in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) research. Failure … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 6 · 8 May 2018 · 7,572 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleInter Cluster Group Management in Wireless Sensor NetworksR. Rohini, Adamu Murtala Zungeru, S. Ravi, Dasari Narasimha RaoWireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), an emerging large-scale network system can be embedded for any application. The designers of wireless sensor network have to consider the quality of service agreements from a user perspective. The WSN is very rapid in dynamic changing topology and has less energy, computing and communication resources. The network design has to fulfill the QoS parameters like … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 4 · 19 Apr 2018 · 7,988 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEmpirical Investigation of TCP Incast Congestion in Wireless Cloud Computing NetworksHamid Sadeq Mahdi Alsultani, Qusay Kanaan, Inteasar Yaseen KhudhairThe promising services offered by cloud computing environments have led to huge amount of data that need to be processed and stored. Wireless cloud networks rely on Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) for reliable transfer of data traffic between the cloud end-users and servers and vise-versa. Even though TCP has been successful for several applications, it, however, does not perform … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 5 · 3 Mar 2018 · 7,520 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Routing Optimization Based on Cross-Layer Design for Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs)Emansa Hasri Putra, Risanuri Hidayat, Widyawan, Wayan MustikaMultimedia applications are routed from source nodes via neighboring nodes to a sink in Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs). However, the existing routing protocols in the WMSNs do not fulfill the quality of service (QoS) constraint yet for multimedia transmission. The WMSNs have specific characteristics such as multi-hop way, limited node capability and varying bandwidth, which can affect the quality … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2017 · 7,396 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDevelopment of a Hybrid Power Module for Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks: Towards a Livestock Tracking and Identification SystemMolaletsa Namoshe, Oduetse Matsebe, Obakeng MaphaneSmart technology and Internet of Things (IoT) applications have gained popularity in the development of agricultural systems with Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) increasingly becoming the building blocks for IoT applications. However, WSNs have a limited power supply. As a result, these systems have a short lifespan, limited memory and low computing power. This paper describes the development of a hybrid … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 23 Oct 2017 · 7,764 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleLarge Deviation, Basic Information Theory for Wireless Sensor NetworksKwabena Doku-AmponsahIn this research paper, we establish Shannon-McMillan-Breiman Theorem for Wireless Sensor Networks modelled as Coloured Geometric Random Networks. For, large n we show that a Wireless Sensor Network consisting of n sensors in [0; 1]d linked by an expected number of edges of order n log n can be transmitted by approximately [n(log n)2 πd/2/(d/2)!] H bits, where H is … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 13, Issue 4 · 20 Oct 2017 · 7,117 accessesView PDFCite
