Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordREVIEW ON MULTI-AGENT SYSTEM COLLABORATION IN LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM DOMAIN BY DEPLOYING WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS FOR STUDENT LOCATION DETECTIONA. K. Mwinyi, S. A.R. AL-Haddad, S. J. Bin Hashim, R. Bin Hj AbdullahStudent location detection in Learning Management System (LMS) by utilizing Multi-Agent System (MAS) which contains sensor nodes is a new area of research. This study reviews several studies to ascertain the potential of integrating these two technologies to automate students’ class attendance in Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs). Currently, the HLIs are using paper-based process to record students’ attendance in the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 6 · 30 Jan 2014 · 7,677 accessesView PDF Cite

Literature ReviewOpen accessAll words, across the recordObject Tracking in Wireless Sensor Networks: Challenges and SolutionsShereen Ismail, Eman Alkhader, Said ElnaffarWireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are small, inexpensive and battery-operated sensor nodes that are deployed over a geographical area. WSNs are used in many applications such border patrolling, military intrusion detection, wildlife animal monitoring, surveillance of natural disasters and healthcare systems. Mobile object tracking is a vital task in all these applications. The goal of this work is to highlight the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 12, Issue 4 · 1 May 2016 · 7,777 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordStochastic Estimator-Based Wireless Traffic Control SchemesFrancis Joseph Ogwu, Mohammad Talib, Ganiyu Adesola AderounmuRecent works on Available Bit Rate (ABR) traffic control have generated efficient control schemes for ABR traffic on Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) network. This study examines the improved performance envisaged if these control schemes adjust dynamically to the varying ABR bandwidth capacity in a stochastic manner instead of conventional deterministic approach .The performance difference between setting explicit rate deterministically for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2007 · 7,099 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordDistributed Clusterhead Architecture for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksEmad Qaddoura, Wesam AlMobaideen, Ahmad OmariMobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) consists of dynamic topology as nodes in the network are mobile, and connected via wireless links. The nodes are grouped in clusters for the purpose of routing. Nodes within the cluster communicate directly. However, nodes communicate outside the cluster through a centralized node that is called a clusterhead. An elected clusterhead is assigned for communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2006 · 6,804 accessesView PDF Cite
