Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleTHROUGHPUT ANALYSIS OF AGGREGATION WITH FRAGMENT RETRANSMISSION PLUS QUALITY OF SERVICE SCHEMETeuku Yuliar Arif, Riri Fitri SariAggregation with Fragment Retransmission (AFR) is a scheme designed for frame transmission to increase efficiency at the MAC layer throughput. AFR provides a higher throughput compare to Distributed Coordination Function (DCF) scheme. However AFR scheme did not has QoS service function when compared to DCF scheme. DCF scheme already has contention-based QoS service using Enhanced Distributed Coordination Function (EDCA) scheme. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 7,321 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Novel Interconnect Structure for Elmore Delay Model with Resistance-Capacitance-Conductance SchemeUma Ramadass, Krishnappriya, Jebashini Ponnian, P. DhavachelvanIn this brief, we present a simple close-form delay estimate, based on first and second order moments that handle arbitrary voltages and conductance effects for a lumped and distributed line. This proposed model introduces a simple tractable delay formula by incorporating conductance (G) into Resistance, Capacitance (RC) network by preserving the characteristics of the Elmore delay model. The RCG model … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 24 Jul 2013 · 7,054 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleTHE DYNAMIC NONCE BASED AUTHENTICATION SCHEME TO DEFEND INTERMEDIARY ATTACK FOR WEB SERVICESElangovan Uma, Arputharaj KannanNowadays, Web services have used drastically for various online applications like banking, e-bill processing. All online services need robust security architecture for handling sensitive data like user name, password. But, The Web service has security problems that need to be solved. The existing security scheme lacks to defend the attacks from replay and password guessing attacks. In this study we … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 4 Jul 2013 · 6,855 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Enhanced and Cost Effective Group Key Management Scheme for Multicast NetworkSaravana Kumar Muthusamy, Purusothaman Thiyagarajan, Lavanya SelvarajKey management plays a vital role in the data communications. The proposed scheme is a key management scheme that provides more efficient and secure methods for key generation and utilization. Enhanced and cost effective key management scheme achieves a secure communication between the members within the group-based network. In this scheme, the group key is generated only once which is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 10 May 2013 · 6,395 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Survey of Intrusion Detection Schemes in Wireless Sensor NetworksMurad A. Rassam, M. A. Maarof, Anazida ZainalWireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are currently used in many application areas including military applications, health related applications, control and tracking applications and environment and habitat monitoring applications. The harsh and unattended deployment of these networks along with their resource restrictions makes their security issue very important. Prevention-based security approaches like cryptography, authentication and key management have been used to protect … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 17 Aug 2012 · 8,738 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Policy Based Scheme for Combined Data Security in Mobile Ad hoc NetworksL. Kartheesn, S. K. SrivatsaProblem statement: In Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) routing protocols, we require a network-level or link layer security. Since without appropriate security provisions, the MANETs is subjected to attacks like network traffic, replay transmissions, manipulate packet headers and redirect routing messages. In order to address these needs, a policy based network management system that provides the capability to express network … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 6 Aug 2012 · 6,725 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Multipath Energy Efficient Congestion Control Scheme for Wireless Sensor NetworkB. Chellaprabha, S. Chenthur PandianProblem statement: In most of the existing works either detection of congestion or scheme for congestion control in wireless sensor networks are presented. A very few works have been done, taken in to account of both congestion detection and congestion control. In most of the congestion detection works they have not achieved accuracy in detecting congestion and have resulted with … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 20 Mar 2012 · 6,860 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIntegrated Resource and Cost Management Scheme for Computational GridsV. K. Manavalasundaram, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Autonomous decision making and resource scheduling are the main objectives of market-life computational grid. Resource providers and consumers make the scheduling decisions with cost and incentive factors. The two objectives are to maximize the success rate of job execution and to minimize fairness deviation among resources. The challenge is to develop a grid-scheduling scheme that enables individual participants … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 7 Feb 2012 · 6,570 accessesView PDFCite
