Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractLatent Feature-Based Trust-Aware Model for Service Delegation in Social Internet of Things (SIoT)Rahul, Venkatesh, Satish B BasapurThe integration of social networking concepts into the Internet of Things (IoT) paradigm has given rise to Social IoT (SIoT) ecosystems, aiming to address challenges related to network navigation, service discovery, and service composition. A fundamental issue in SIoT is the careful selection of trustworthy devices that provide services. A service provider can offer multiple and diverse services, and different … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 12 · 9 Jan 2026 · 1,802 accessesView PDFCite
Case ReportOpen accessIn the abstractEnergy Positive Futures: A Critical Overview of Energy Plus BuildingsErdem CuceEnergy Plus Buildings (EPBs) represent a transformative leap in sustainable architecture by producing more energy than they consume annually. As nations commit to net-zero targets and climate resilience, EPBs serve as living laboratories for integrating renewable energy, energy-efficient systems, and smart technologies. This editorial synthesises current advancements, policy frameworks, and technological integrations enabling EPBs. It also critically examines the barriers, … …Energy Research Journal, Vol. 14, Issue 1 · 8 Jan 2026 · 2,929 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEfficient Handling of Medical Data Classification in Cloud-Edge Network using Optimization AlgorithmS. S. Saranya, N. Sabiyath FatimaNowadays, a cloud-edge computing framework with IoT offers different medicinal facilities by classifying a massive amount of patients’ health data through a Deep Neural Network. But, how to optimize task scheduling while carrying multiple tasks from multiple edge devices in real-time was still challenging. This article introduces a cooperative cloud-edge computing structure to effectively perform the fuzzy DNN classification into … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2021 · 6,480 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractGravity. Origin and Quantum Evolution of the CosmosFrancisco Pavía Alemany, Marcelino Alvarez VillarroyaThe most widely accepted hypothesis regarding the birth and evolution of the Cosmos is the Big Bang theory, which states that, before the beginning, all the current mass energy of the Cosmos was already concentrated within an extremely small, dense, and hot singularity. However, in this article, we propose a new model resulting from physical-mathematical deductions and the discovery of … …Physics International, Vol. 16, Issue 1 · 15 Sep 2025 · 5,323 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDDoS Mitigation Using Machine Learning in Software-Defined NetworksAhmed Gaber Abu Abd-Allah, Noureldin Omar Mohamed, Mohamed Samir Mohamed et al.With the escalating frequency and sophistication of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, the realm of cyber security has witnessed a paradigm shift towards innovative solutions. This review explores the potential of machine learning as a powerful defense mechanism in the field of DDoS mitigation within Software-Defined Networks (SDNs). The study methodically examines a variety of machine learning algorithms used … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 4 · 23 Mar 2025 · 6,774 accessesView PDFCite
Technical ReportOpen accessIn the abstractMagnetic Fusion Plasma DriveFlorian NeukartIn the evolving realm of space exploration, efficient propulsion methods are paramount to achieve interplanetary and possibly interstellar voyages. Traditional propulsion systems, although proven, offer limited capabilities when considering longer-duration missions beyond our immediate cosmic vicinity. This study introduces and thoroughly investigates the Magnetic Fusion Plasma Drive (MFPD) propulsion system, a novel fusion-powered propulsion mechanism. Through rigorous theoretical underpinnings and … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 17, Issue 2 · 4 Mar 2024 · 7,180 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHuman Activity Prediction Studies Using Wearable Sensors and Machine LearningDivya Sharma, Usha ChauhanNowadays, Human Activity Recognition (HAR) systems have become so demanding that they find applications in the field of assisted living systems, elderly healthcare systems, smart homes, healthcare monitoring applications, surveillance systems, etc. Due to its increasing demand in computer science; machine learning and deep learning have brought a paradigm shift in the area of sensor-based recognition systems. Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA New Approach to a Self-Organizing Federation of MQTT BrokersNicolas Kolling Ribas, Marco Aurélio SpohnIn the Publish/Subscribe (PS) communication paradigm clients producing content (i.e., publishers) send it to a broker, which relays the content to consumers (i.e., subscribers). Communication can happen asynchronously, leaving all the hurdles to the server/broker. MQ Telemetry Transport (MQTT) is the most used P/S protocol in designing IoT applications. The usual MQTT scenario comprises a single broker, making it a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 18, Issue 7 · 29 Jul 2022 · 6,156 accessesView PDFCite
Research NotesOpen accessIn the abstractTime-Resolution of Climate Change Monitoring Volcanic Cycles, Stromboli, Ocean Floor Biota and Pandemics (?)Giovanni Pietro Gregori, Gabriele PaparoClimate change is an ongoing, poorly understood and disquieting challenge. The primary drivers are debated. Clear evidence is however suggestive of a time variation of the planetary release of endogenous energy. In fact, soil exhalation is an unprecedented challenge for humankind, as a phenomenon of this kind happens only every 27.40.05 Ma, while human history spans only the last 30,0000 … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 2 · 7 Sep 2021 · 6,252 accessesView PDFCite
