Review ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Comprehensive Review on Internet of Things (IoT) and its Implications in the Mining IndustryFatemeh Molaei, Elham Rahimi, Hossein Siavoshi et al.The integration of computer-based technologies interacting with industrial machines or home appliances through an interconnected network, for teleoperation, workflow control, switching to autonomous mode, or collecting data automatically using a variety of sensors, is known as Internet of Things (IoT). When applied inside an industrial context, it is possible to immediately benefit from the analytics obtained, contributing to process optimization, … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 3 · 3 Sep 2020 · 14,156 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign IoT Based Smart Electricity Power Saving University: Analysis from a Lecture HallShanmuganathan Vasanthapriyan, Viduni RandimaManaging and controlling the electricity consumption in a productive manner is a red hot topic in today’s world. Many countries have considered this problem and they have suggested automate systems to overcome this problem. Since, Sri Lankan has not used such kind of automated system to control the electricity power consumption, our system will be a suitable solution for that. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 8 · 8 Aug 2019 · 8,478 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDeveloping a Prototype for Sun Tracker System Based on IoT: Controlled by Mobile App and Online Database MonitoringIsmail Ismail Yusuf Panessai, Muhammad Modi bin Lakulu, Siva Kumar A/L Subramaniam et al.IoT (Internet of Things) has become a separate research field since the development of internet technology and other communication media. IoT optimizes several tools such as sensor media radio frequency identification, wireless sensor networks and other smart objects that allow humans to easily interact with all devices connected to the internet network. The purpose of this research is to build … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 16, Issue 1 · 11 Feb 2019 · 8,766 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleArduino Based IOT Platform for Remote Monitoring of Heart Attacks and Patients FallsManikandan Shanmugam, Monisha SinghInternet of things (IoT) is a networking concept that allows connection of various smart devices. This concept plays a huge role in the healthcare industry. The developed system is a working prototype for real-time monitoring of patient falls and heart attacks. The process of developing this system included an architecture, which was built using Arduino UNO and Arduino NANO along … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2018 · 9,129 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Edge Efficient and Lightweight Hybrid CNN Vision Transformer Network With CBAM for IoT Based Plant Disease DetectionNyabeye Pangop Doris-Khöler, Kengni Ngangmo OlgaDetecting crop disease early enough to act on it remains a bottleneck for smallholder and precision farming alike, particularly when diagnosis depends on manual inspection or lab analysis that cannot keep pace with an outbreak. We present AgriViTNet, a compact CNN-Vision Transformer hybrid built for exactly this constraint: It extracts local texture cues through convolution, relates them across the whole … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 9 · 20 Sep 2026 · 578 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSmart Ambulances for IoT Based Accident Detection, Tracking and ResponseAmreen Ayesha, Komalavalli ChakravarthiOne of the main reasons for death among young people in the current era is based on road accidents. The goal of current research on accident detection systems is to shorten reporting times, increase accident detection accuracy and address them through our modern technology. Our primary goal is to recommend a system that can successfully aid in preventing any kind … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 6 · 12 May 2023 · 6,323 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleRule-Based Approach to Detect IoT Malicious FilesFaisal Alsattam, Mousa Al-Akhras, Marwah M. Almasri, Mohammed AlawairdhiThe current immersive increase of cyber-attacks requires constant evolution of the used security solutions. Current malware detection solutions are only able to identify known malwares that were previously detected. They also lack the ability to deeply investigate every file in the system. Therefore, new detection techniques are needed to fill this gab. In this study, a flexible and an effective … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 9 · 15 Oct 2020 · 7,345 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIoT-Fog based Smart-Building Security System Design and Performance EvaluationMaha Medhat, Khaled El-Shafey, Ali RashedThis paper aims to develop a smart building-security system utilizing fog technology. Fog computing is an innovative solution to reduce latency and network congestion, in which the cloud is extended to the edge of the network. The proposed system can detect an intruder, fire and water leakage. It is implemented using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Pi-camera and different sensors. The sensors … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 9 · 3 Oct 2020 · 7,206 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePrioritized Experience Replay-Based Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient for Reliable Path Selection in SDN-IoT NetworksGaurav Kumar, G. S. Girisha, N. ShamanthRouting optimization is becoming prominent in Software-Defined Networks (SDN) due to the exponential growth of network traffic demands and the requirement for Quality of Service (QoS). However, reliable routing that satisfies the QoS requirements, such as end-to-end delay, packet loss, and bandwidth, remains a difficult task in SDN. To overcome this limitation, a Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL)-based Prioritized Experience Replay-based … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 8 · 4 Aug 2026 · 1,001 accessesView PDFCite
