Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFlows of Continuous-Time Dynamical Systems with No Periodic Orbit as an Equivalence Class under Topological Conjugacy RelationTahir Ahmad, Tan Lit KenProblem statement: Flows of continuous-time dynamical systems with the same number of equilibrium points and trajectories, and which has no periodic orbit form an equivalence class under the topological conjugacy relation. Approach: Arbitrarily, two trajectories resulting from two distinct flows of this type of dynamical systems were written as a set of points (orbit). A homeomorphism which maps between these … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 18 Jul 2011 · 7,259 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePetri Nets and Ladder Logic for Fully-Automating and Programmable Logic Control of Semi-Automatic Machines and SystemsMahmoud A. Barghash, Osama M. Abuzeid, Anas N. Al-Rabadi, Ahmad M. JaradatProblem statement: Automating semi-automatic dynamic machines and complex systems, where some functionalities are already automated but the machine doesn’t run fully in automatic mode, represents another challenge to automating dynamic and manual complex systems. This study deals with a special case of this general problem, where the system’s semi-automatic and automatic functionalities run separately in a sequence with either automatic … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 2 · 13 Jul 2011 · 8,245 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEvaluation of Soil Moisture Sensors under Intelligent Irrigation Systems for Economical Crops in Arid RegionsMohamed Said Abdall El Marazky, Fawzi Said Mohammad, Hussein Mohamed Al-GhobariProblem Statement: In irrigation water management, irrigation water use represents a substantial opportunity for agriculture water savings. Automation of irrigation systems, based on Soil Moisture Sensors Systems (SMSS) has the potential to provide maximum water use efficiency by maintaining soil moisture at optimum levels. Approach: The objective of this research was to evaluate the performance of soil moisture sensors under … …American Journal of Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 2 · 24 Jun 2011 · 8,907 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleWeighted Centroid Correction Localization in Cellular SystemsRong-Zheng Li, Xin-Long Luo, Jia-Ru LinProblem statement: There is a large demand for wireless Location-Based Service (LBS) and it is provided by many wireless cellular systems. In process of positioning a Mobile Station (MS), the computing speed is as important as the positioning accuracy and the algorithm should also be resistant to environmental influences. Approach: A new positioning method based on Weighted Centroid Correction Localization … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 27 Jan 2011 · 8,979 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign and Implementation of Medical Information Systems For Managing and Following up Work Flaw in Hospitals and ClinicsHassan Mohammed M. ElmetwalyProblem statement: This research study deals with the problem of maintaining data, deemed to be one of the biggest problems of health entities. Most hospitals and clinic suffer loss of data saved in this databases and unavailability of strong cohesive information systems. Approach: Our need for such databases and information systems motivates us to seek solutions and technologies that might … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 16 Dec 2010 · 8,821 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOrthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Timing Synchronization in Multi-Band Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Ultra-Wideband SystemsAymen M. Karim, Md. Shabiul Islam, Masuri OthmanProblem statement: MB-OFDM UWB systems have attractive features and received a great attention. It has the capability of sending/receiving data at rates in access of 100 Mbits sec-1. Owing to the sensitivity of OFDM systems to synchronization errors, a fast synchronization algorithm is required to discern for the start of OFDM symbol. Existing approaches to OFDM time synchronization rely on … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2010 · 7,426 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleRobust and Blind Watermarking of Relational Database SystemsA. Al-Haj, A. OdehProblem statement: Digital multimedia watermarking technology was suggested in the last decade to embed copyright information in digital objects such images, audio and video. However, the increasing use of relational database systems in many real-life applications created an ever increasing need for watermarking database systems. As a result, watermarking relational database systems is now merging as a research area that … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2008 · 7,511 accessesView PDFCite
