Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEffect of Cathodically Charged Hydrogen on the Microhardness of Pure CopperGhazi S. AL-Marahleh, Amjad S. El-AmoushThe effect of hydrogen on the microhardness of pure copper was investigated after experiments conducted on specimens that hydrogen charged under different cathodic charging conditions. Microhardness measurements revealed that the introduction of hydrogen caused hardening on the surface of copper. The severity of the hardened region increased with either cathodic current density or charging time. Further charging increased the depth … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2005 · 7,281 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractProgramming of the Generalized Nonlinear Paraxial Equation for the Formation of Solitons with MathematicaFrederick Osman, Robert BeechThis study presents the nonlinearity and dispersion effects involved in the propagation of optical solitons which can be understood by using a numerical routine to solve the Generalized Nonlinear Paraxial equation. A sequence of code has been developed in Mathematica, to explore in depth several features of the optical soliton’s formation and propagation. These numerical routines were implemented through the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2004 · 6,787 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractLeaching of a Nigerian Refractory Gold Ore Using Aqua RegiaOluwasanmi Samuel Teniola, Abraham A. Adeleke, Simeon Ademola Ibitoye, Moshood Deinde ShituIn this research, refractory gold ore from Imogbara deposit in Iperindo area of Osun state Nigeria were collected systematically from various segments of the deposits at different depths to obtain a set of samples that truly represent the deposits. The 50 kg sample collected was subjected to panning in a flowing river to obtain about 1 kg-upgraded sample. The upgraded … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 1 · 13 Mar 2022 · 7,463 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFine-Tuned MobileNet Classifier for Classification of Strawberry and Cherry Fruit TypesVenkatesh, Nagaraju Yallappa, Siddhanth Udayashankar Hegde, Sangeetha Raj StalinThis paper proposed an accurate, fast and reliable strawberry, cherry fruit detection and classification system for the automated strawberry cherry yield estimation. State-of-the-art deep learning-based fine-tuned MobileNet Convolutional Neural Network is developed to detect and classify strawberry and cherry fruit types in the outdoor field.
