Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAn Optimized Multi-Layer Perceptron Framework for Detecting and Classifying IoT AttacksSanchit Vashisht, Shalli RaniThe Internet of Things (IoT) is revolutionizing industries by connecting billions of smart devices, enabling automation and information exchange. The expansion of IoT ecosystems has simultaneously increased the surface area for cyberattacks. These environments are particularly vulnerable to a wide range of threats, such as Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS), poisoning, brute-force SSH intrusions, and various network reconnaissance techniques. The dynamic nature … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 12 · 11 Feb 2026 · 1,341 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordHigh-precision Detection of Facial Landmarks to Estimate Head Motions Based on Vision ModelsXiaohong W. Gao, Sergey Anishenko, Dmitry Shaposhnikov et al.A new approach of determination of head movement is presented from the pictures recorded via digital cameras monitoring the scanning processing of PET. Two human vision models of CIECAMs and BMV are applied to segment the face region via skin colour and to detect local facial landmarks respectively. The developed algorithms are evaluated on the pictures (n=12) monitoring a subject’s … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2007 · 6,820 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAdaptive Cybersecurity: Dynamically Retrainable Firewalls for Real-Time Network ProtectionSina AhmadiThe growing complexity of cyberattacks has necessitated the evolution of firewall technologies from static models to adaptive, machine learning-driven systems. This research introduces “Dynamically Retrainable Firewalls”, which respond to emerging threats in real-time. Unlike traditional firewalls that rely on static rules to inspect traffic, these advanced systems leverage machine learning algorithms to analyze network traffic patterns dynamically and identify threats. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 9 · 7 Nov 2025 · 2,562 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordIdentification of Defects in Composite Materials Using an Improved Wavelet Analysis AlgorithmYahiaoui Aicha, Si-Chaib Med, O.A. ChellilProblem statement: The present work carries on the use of a method based on the wavelet transform to detect internal flaws of composite materials. The objective of this work consists in working out a data processing sequence of an ultrasonic signal identifying nearly flaws in composite laminate materials and estimating their position. Approach: The use of a numerical signal processing … …Physics International, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 12 Mar 2012 · 8,170 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordDot Detection of Braille Images Using A Mixture of Beta DistributionsAmany Al-Saleh, Ali El-Zaart, Abdul Malik Al-SalmanProblem statement: Braille is a tactile format of written communication for people with low vision and blindness worldwide. Optical Braille Recognition (OBR) offers many benefits to Braille users and people who work with them. Approach: This study presents an algorithm for detecting dots composing braille characters in an image of embossed braille material obtained by an optical scanner. We assumed … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 11 · 6 Sep 2011 · 7,438 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordIntrusion Preventing System using Intrusion Detection System Decision Tree Data MiningSyurahbil, Noraziah Ahmad, M. Fadly Zolkipli, Ahmed N. AbdallaProblem statement: To distinguish the activities of the network traffic that the intrusion and normal is very difficult and to need much time consuming. An analyst must review all the data that large and wide to find the sequence of intrusion on the network connection. Therefore, it needs a way that can detect network intrusion to reflect the current network … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2009 · 7,341 accessesView PDFCite
