Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEVALUATING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE LOCATION-AIDED ROUTING-1P ROUTE DISCOVERY ALGORITHMAli Maqousi, Hussein Al-BahadiliDynamic Routing Protocols (DRPs) are widely-used for routing information among mobile nodes in Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) and establish and maintain connectivity within the network. A DRP comprises two main phases: route discovery and route maintenance. The route discovery phase involves transmission of large number of redundant control packets consuming significant portion of the nodes power and increase communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 28 Nov 2013 · 6,480 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleREDUCING CALL BLOCKING PROBABILITY IN HYBRID MULTICAST WAVELENGTH DIVISION MULTIPLEXING NETWORKS USING WEIGHTED ROUTING AND WAVELENGTH ASSIGNMENT ALGORITHMD. V. Pradeep Sankar, K. MuneeswaranIn the proposed work, the focus is on increasing the available wavelength in the all-optical networks, for which the Routing and Wavelength Assignment plays a vital role. In the earlier reported work, the wavelengths were assigned to the links which covers a set of destinations but not all the intended destinations. However this proposed work, attempts were made to create … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 2 · 13 Nov 2013 · 6,849 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsEffect of Load and Routing Protocols on Networks on Chip (NoC): An AnalysisShaily Jain, Chander Prabha, Ayman Noor et al.Communication infrastructure for multi-core Systems-on-Chip (SoCs) is provided by Network-on-Chip (NoC). Point-to-Point (P2P) and bus-based communication systems are NoCs and are two communication channels of NoC that can probably overcome the scalability and performance restrictions of NoC. Latency and throughput are two of the essential characteristic metrics measured for a routing algorithm that affect the performance of a given NoC. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 11 · 29 Aug 2024 · 5,273 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsProposing a Hybrid Topological Organization for Non-Misbehaving Nodes with Optimal Path Selection Using Game-Theoretic ApproachKanmani S, M. MuraliIn dynamic communication networks, improvement of energy efficiency is one of the major challenges for reliable communication. By considering this challenge, we focus to develop the topology of the network. In this study, we design a hybrid star-mesh topology for minimizing the latency as well as energy consumption of the network. In the hybrid network topology, the Ad-Hoc On-Demand Multipath … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 10 · 31 Aug 2023 · 5,397 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsBidirectional Blockchain-Based Secure Data Transfer Using GALOEEM Routing Protocol in WSNAnitha Rajakumari Ponjothi, Pritee ParwekarData exchange is hampered by the fact that warehouse data are distributed among warehouses. To propose a secure bidirectional blockchain-based data-sharing system that collects warehouse data and controls data sharing through bidirectional transformation. This study is proposed for establishing an efficient bi-directional data warehouse storage for script less blockchains with an infinite lifespan. The sensor provides the data used in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 8 · 20 Jul 2023 · 5,815 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsFuzzy Velocity Biased-Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector to Improve Throughput in Dynamic Mobile NetworkK. Tamizarasu, M. RajaramProblem statement: With the escalating demand for mobile ad hoc network projects, major challenges to system planners and designers were addressing stability and reliability problems due to frequent change of network topology. Controlling an overhead, which means bandwidth utilization due to control packets, depends on the routing protocol, topology and data traffic. Limiting the network control overheads, of this highly … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 21 Nov 2011 · 7,056 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Effective Location-Based Power Conservation Scheme for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksKhalid Kaabneh, Azmi Halasa, Hussein Al-BahadiliProblem statement: One of the major issues in current reactive routing protocols for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) is the high bandwidth and power consumptions during the routing process. In this study, we proposed and evaluated the performance of an efficient Location-Based Power Conservation (LBPC) scheme for MANETs. Approach: In this scheme, the transmitting node utilized the location-information of the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2009 · 6,836 accessesView PDFCite
