Review ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Review on Cognitive Radio for Next Generation Cellular Network and its ChallengesNandhakumar Pandi, Arun KumarCognitive Radio (CR) is considered an intelligent technology. It improves the utilization of the radio spectrum. The increasing number of new devices has resulted in growing congestion of the ISM bands. FCC issued an order only permitting unlicensed users (secondary users) to operate in white space without interfering with licensed users (primary users). Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) provides a solution … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 2 · 4 Apr 2017 · 8,986 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIMPROVING FAULT TOLERANT RESOURCE OPTIMIZED AWARE JOB SCHEDULING FOR GRID COMPUTINGK. Nirmala Devi, A. TamilarasiWorkflow brokers of existing Grid Scheduling Systems are lack of cooperation mechanism which causes inefficient schedules of application distributed resources and it also worsens the utilization of various resources including network bandwidth and computational cycles. Furthermore considering the literature, all of these existing brokering systems primarily evolved around models of centralized hierarchical or client/server. In such models, vital responsibility such … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 5 · 4 Jan 2014 · 6,896 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractENERGY EFFICIENT NETWORK SELECTION USING 802.16G BASED GSM TECHNOLOGYH. Anandakumar, K. UmamaheswariHandover is the mechanism that transfers information from one terminal to another as a user moves through the coverage area of a cellular system. Here the Network selection is the handover decision process between various network environments. This handover decision will be either mobile or network initiated. In 2G GSM handover decision method especially concentrates on Received frequency signals (RFS). … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 5 · 31 Dec 2013 · 7,076 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractResearch on Security Protocol for Collaborating Mobile Agents in Network Intrusion Detection SystemsOlumide Simeon Ogunnusi, Shukor Abd RazakDespite the popularity of mobile agents in academic and commercial arena, the security issues associated with them have hindered their adoption on large scale distributed applications. However, researchers are making relentless effort to overcome the security impediments so that the interesting properties inherent in mobile agent application, especially in the field of intrusion detection, can be harnessed. Such properties include: … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 7 Nov 2013 · 6,702 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractON REDUCED SCALAR EQUATIONS FOR SYNCHRONOUS BOOLEAN NETWORKSAli Muhammad Ali Rushdi, Adnan Ahmad AlsogatiA total description of a synchronous Boolean network is typically achieved by a matrix recurrence relation. A simpler alternative is to use a scalar equation which is a possibly nonlinear equation that involves two or more instances of a single scalar variable and some Boolean operator(s). Further simplification is possible in terms of a linear reduced scalar equation which is … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 9, Issue 3 · 10 Sep 2013 · 6,665 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractINTELLISENSE CLUSTER MANAGEMENT AND ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING IN MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKSSangeetha Kuppusamy, Natarajan MathaiyanMobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of distributed nodes which communicate using multi-hop wireless links with frequent node mobility. The aim for ad hoc networks is to accommodate light-weight weight, battery supercharged transportable devices. Due to the restricted power, we've to vogue economical ways in which to use the current power. For a networking device, vital power is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 6,367 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Fuzzy Based Mechanism For Allocation of Grid ResourcesM. Poonguzhali, S. ShanmugavelOne of the main challenges in Grid computing is efficient allocation of resources (CPU-hours, network bandwidth) to the tasks submitted by users. In our previous work a technique to allocate resources in a grid environment using predicted data has been proposed. We propose utilization of the predicted data the resources were classified into three types; they are permanent resources, semi-permanent … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 23 May 2013 · 6,772 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Enhanced and Cost Effective Group Key Management Scheme for Multicast NetworkSaravana Kumar Muthusamy, Purusothaman Thiyagarajan, Lavanya SelvarajKey management plays a vital role in the data communications. The proposed scheme is a key management scheme that provides more efficient and secure methods for key generation and utilization. Enhanced and cost effective key management scheme achieves a secure communication between the members within the group-based network. In this scheme, the group key is generated only once which is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 10 May 2013 · 6,390 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImpulse Radio Ultra Wide Band Based Mobile Adhoc Network Routing Performance AnalysisM. Sreedhar, C. VenkateshThis study presents with the routing overhead analysis of impulse radio - Ultra Wide Band based wireless networks which Employs Dynamic Nature Routing (EDNR) method for determining and selecting the stable route in Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET). This method requires only two sample packets and uses piggyback information on Route-Request (RREQ) and Route-Reply (RREP) packets during a route-discovery procedure.
