Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign and Development of Robot Hand SystemPanchumarthy Seetharamaiah, Mandapati Venkateswara Rao, Geddapu Venkata SatyanarayanaResearch on robot hand design is being carried out to accommodate a variety of tasks such as grasping and manipulation of objects in the field of industrial applications, service robots and rehabilitation robots. Problem statement: To design and develop a microcontroller-based four fingered robotic hand with a simple and minimal control strategy to pick and place application with object detection … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,771 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSupport Vector Machine-Based Human Behavior Classification in Crowd through Projection and Star SkeletonizationB. Yogameena, E. Komagal, M. Archana, S. Raju AbhaikumarProblem statement: Detection of individual’s abnormal human behaviors in the crowd has become a critical problem because in the event of terror strikes. This study presented a real-time video surveillance system which classifies normal and abnormal behaviors in crowds. The aim of this research was to provide a system which can aid in monitoring crowded urban environments. Approach: The proposed … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2010 · 7,557 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFault Reconstruction Using Sliding Mode ObserversK. Hakiki, B. Mazari, A. Liazid, S. DjaberIn this study, a nonlinear sliding observer is proposed to explicitly reconstruct fault signals. The novelty lies in the application of the equivalent output injection concept. Previous work in the area of fault detection has used disruption of the sliding motion to detect faults. The aim of the present study was to design a robust observer that slides in the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2006 · 6,680 accessesView PDF Cite

Review ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordRemote Surgeon Hand Motion and Occlusion Removal in Mixed Reality in Breast Surgical Telepresence: Rural and Remote CareKrishna Shakya, Suman Khanal, Abeer Alsadoon et al.Mixed reality in surgical telepresence has not been practically implemented as yet and research done, until now, is only theoretical. Aiming to implement a proposed new solution by merging virtual and augmented realities and bringing about improvements by removing occlusion and the noise caused by hand motions during surgery. The proposed system consists of an extended Camshift algorithm for the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 11 · 11 Jan 2019 · 8,564 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAutomatic Detection of the End-Diastolic and End-Systolic from 4D Echocardiographic ImagesAnas A. Abboud, Rahmita Wirza Rahmat, Suhaini Bin Kadiman et al.Accurate detection of the End-Diastolic (ED) and End-Systolic (ES) frames of a cardiac cycle are significant factors that may affect the accuracy of abnormality assessment of a ventricle. This process is a routine step of the ventricle assessment procedure as most of the time in clinical reports many parameters are measured in these two frames to help in diagnosing and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 25 Aug 2014 · 8,500 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordHead Gesture Analysis using Matrix Group Displacement AlgorithmMahmoud Z. IskandaraniA novel algorithm for head gestures interpretation is designed and tested. The designed system carries out gesture detection and recognition using the MGDA algorithm, which implements random sampling and importance sampling, such technique can track head poses and estimate head positions. Problem statement: Head position is an important indicator of a person’s focus of attention, which can be used as … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 11 · 23 Oct 2010 · 7,247 accessesView PDF Cite
