Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSecure Enhanced Authenticated Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksM. Rajesh Babu, S. SelvanProblem statement: This study propose an improvement of Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector (AODV) Routing protocol in order to include some of the aspects of ad hoc networks such as load balancing, congestion avoidance and avoidance of link breakage. Approach: The most important problem nowadays is link breakage which mainly occurs due to excessive load and congestion in the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 12 · 17 Oct 2011 · 6,620 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDistributed Clusterhead Architecture for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksEmad Qaddoura, Wesam AlMobaideen, Ahmad OmariMobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) consists of dynamic topology as nodes in the network are mobile, and connected via wireless links. The nodes are grouped in clusters for the purpose of routing. Nodes within the cluster communicate directly. However, nodes communicate outside the cluster through a centralized node that is called a clusterhead. An elected clusterhead is assigned for communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2006 · 6,804 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAdaptive Reliable Efficient Multicasting Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksK. Baskaran, A. Ebenezer Jeyakumar, V. Sumathy, J. Lakshmana PerumalThe Adaptive Reliable Multicast Protocol (ARM) with intermediate node support is introduced to guarantee message delivery to all multicast receivers in mobile ad hoc environment. ARM distributes multicast message cache and retransmission tasks among intermediate nodes to offer a scalable reliable multicasting. Due to limited memory and node’s mobility, ARM defines intermediate node as all nodes which overhear multicast messages. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2005 · 6,818 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleANFIS Aided AODV Routing Protocolfor Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksVivek Sharma, Bashir Alam, M. N. DojaCommunication between mobile nodes is the key purpose of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs). However, increase in the traffic leads to multiple challenging issues like congestion among nodes, consumption of more bandwidth, high energy requirement and low efficiency output. A powerful solution to these issues of the MANET is to use intelligent routing protocols. The Adaptive Neural Fuzzy Inference System … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 10 · 12 Oct 2017 · 7,429 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Novel Proactive Routing Method for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksBambrik Ilyas, Didi FedouaIn recent years, the Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) became more popular due to their multiple advantages such as the low setup cost, auto-configuration and auto-healing features. This kind of network is distinguished by its dynamic and distributed nature since it does not contain any form of centralized infrastructure. These characteristics have led to the emergence of new routing protocols … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 6 · 23 Jul 2015 · 6,376 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAN ENHANCED ROUTE FAILURE RECOVERY MODEL FOR MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKSP. R. Jasmine Jeni, A. Vimala Julie, A. Messiah BoseIn Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET), change in topology of the network occurs due to the mobility factor of the nodes leading to the extension in size of the network. The extension of network size happens due to the entry of nodes into the network. As the topology changes, link failure between the nodes takes place due to several reasons … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 8 Apr 2014 · 6,730 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA MOBILE AGENT BASED INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE FOR MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKSBinod Kumar Pattanayak, Mamata RathApplications of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) have become extensively popular over the years among the researchers. However, the dynamic nature of MANETs imposes a set of challenges to its efficient implementation in practice. One of such challenges represents intrusion detection and prevention procedures that are intended to provide secured performance of ad hoc applications. In this study, we introduce … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 6 · 28 Jan 2014 · 7,267 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleINTELLISENSE CLUSTER MANAGEMENT AND ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING IN MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKSSangeetha Kuppusamy, Natarajan MathaiyanMobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of distributed nodes which communicate using multi-hop wireless links with frequent node mobility. The aim for ad hoc networks is to accommodate light-weight weight, battery supercharged transportable devices. Due to the restricted power, we've to vogue economical ways in which to use the current power. For a networking device, vital power is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 6,367 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Model for Congestion Control of Transmission Control Protocol in Mobile Wireless Ad Hoc NetworksAdib M. Monzer Habbal, Suhaidi HassanTransmission Control Protocol (TCP) is a fundamental protocol in the TCP/IP Protocol Suite.TCP was well designed and optimized to work over wired networks where most packet loss occurs due to network congestion. In theory, TCP should not care whether it is running over wired networks, WLANs, or Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs). In practice, it does matter because most TCP … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 3 · 24 Apr 2013 · 7,373 accessesView PDFCite
