Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleHybrid Ant-Based Clustering Algorithm with Cluster Analysis TechniquesWafa’a Omar, Amr Badr, Abd El-Fattah HegazyCluster analysis is a data mining technology designed to derive a good understanding of data to solve clustering problems by extracting useful information from a large volume of mixed data elements. Recently, researchers have aimed to derive clustering algorithms from nature’s swarm behaviors. Ant-based clustering is an approach inspired by the natural clustering and sorting behavior of ant colonies. In … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 6 · 7 Jun 2013 · 7,306 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Independent Rough Set Approach Hybrid with Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm for Dimensionality ReductionNambiraj Suguna, Keppana Gowder ThanushkodiProblem statement: Dimensionality reduction is viewed as an important pre-processing step for pattern recognition and data mining. As the classical rough set model considers the entire attribute set as a whole to find the subset, comparing all possible combinations of sets of attributes is difficult. Approach: In this study, we have introduced an improved Rough Set-based Attribute Reduction (RSAR) namely … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 3 · 25 Mar 2011 · 8,334 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleConvalesce Optimization for Input Allocation Problem Using Hybrid Genetic AlgorithmMamta Madan, Sushila MadanProblem statement: The purpose of this study was to describe categories of hybrid genetic algorithm and validate that the hybrid genetic algorithm converges to the optimal solution rather than a near optimal solution so that Hybrid Genetic algorithms can be used to solve real world problems and receive significant interest. Approach: We implemented the input allocation problem for a manufacturing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2010 · 7,005 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFault Detection and Isolation in Dynamic Systems using Statistical Local Approach and Hybrid Least Squares AlgorithmBelkacem Athamena, Zina Houhamdi, Mohammed MuhairatA fault detection and isolation (FDI) scheme for dynamic system proposed. This study deals with the design of discrete-time linear system using delta operator approach and the hybrid least squares (HLS) algorithm. A third residual generation based on statistical local approach and the derivative of the normalized residual on a small temporal window investigated. This new technique meets the desired … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2007 · 7,430 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Innovative Method for Recognizing Face Expressions Based on Genetic Algorithm and Extreme Learning Based Hybrid ModelTushar Dhar Shukla, Md Oqail Ahmad, Puneet Sapra et al.The detection of facial action coding system Action Units (AU) and other facial expressions has been a major focus of computer science for more than 20 years categorizing discrete emotional states based on facial expressions. While several widely used face expression databases exist, standardization and comparability remain key challenges. The lack of a universally recognized assessment procedure and insufficient information … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 2 · 18 Jan 2025 · 7,293 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMultivalent Optimizer-Based Hybrid Genetic Algorithm for Task Scheduling in Cloud ApplicationsMeena Malik, Bhavna Gupta, Chander Prabha et al.Cloud computing platforms provide on-demand online services without the need for direct user management. Generally, big clouds distribute functions over multiple data centers at distant locations. The major facilities offered by clouds are based upon virtual machines which provide benefits in terms of low scheduling cost, improved accessibility and availability of cloud services. While transferring the tasks for effective scheduling, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 2 · 31 Dec 2024 · 4,900 accessesView PDFCite
