Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA MODIFIED SPATIAL FUZZY C-MEANS CLUSTERING ALGORITHM FOR DETECTING GLAUCOMAIN RETINAL FUNDUS IMAGESS. J. Grace Shoba, A. Brintha ThereseGlaucoma is a disease which affects the eye and causes blindness. It is an ophthalmologist disease characterized by an increase in Intraocular Pressure (IOP). The glaucoma usually affects the optic disc on the retina which increases the cup size. There are various parameters to identify and diagnose glaucoma. The clustering technique is introduced to detect the glaucoma from the optic … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 5 Mar 2014 · 7,027 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNEURO FUZZY LINK BASED CLASSIFIER FOR THE ANALYSIS OF BEHAVIOR MODELS IN SOCIAL NETWORKSKannan Arputharaj, Ghosh Dalim Kumar, Indira Priya Ponnuvel, Ganapathy SannasiIn this study, a new link based classifier using neuro fuzzy logic has been proposed for analyzing the social behavior based on Weblog dataset. In this system, data are processed using a multistage structure. This system provides a diagnosis using a neuro fuzzy link based classifier that analyses the user’s behavior to specific diagnostic categories based on their cluster category … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 9 Dec 2013 · 6,892 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractQUALITY BASED SPEAKER VERIFICATION SYSTEMS USING FUZZY INFERENCE FUSION SCHEMELydia Abdul Hamid, Dzati Athiar RamliPerformances of single biometric speaker verification systems are outstanding in clean condition but drop significantly in noisy condition. Implementation of multibiometric systems is one of the solutions to this limitation. However, in order to ensure the performances of multibiometric systems are sustained, the optimum weight for the fusion system must be determined correctly according to the quality of current data. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 3 Dec 2013 · 6,898 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNEW APPROACH TO SOLVE HYBRID FUZZY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONSaveetha Natesan, Nirmala Venkatachalem, S. Chenthur PandianThis study presents solution for the first order hybrid fuzzy differential equation by Runge-Kutta method of order two with new parameters and Harmonic mean of ki’s which are used in the main formula in order to increase the order of accuracy of the solution. This method is discussed in detail followed by a complete error analysis. The accuracy and efficiency … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 9, Issue 3 · 1 Jul 2013 · 6,485 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Fuzzy Based Mechanism For Allocation of Grid ResourcesM. Poonguzhali, S. ShanmugavelOne of the main challenges in Grid computing is efficient allocation of resources (CPU-hours, network bandwidth) to the tasks submitted by users. In our previous work a technique to allocate resources in a grid environment using predicted data has been proposed. We propose utilization of the predicted data the resources were classified into three types; they are permanent resources, semi-permanent … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 23 May 2013 · 6,772 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHybrid of Fuzzy Clustering Neural Network Over NSL Dataset for Intrusion Detection SystemDahlia Asyiqin Ahmad Zainaddin, Zurina Mohd HanapiIntrusion Detection System (IDS) is one of the component that take part in the system defence, to identify abnormal activities happening in the computer system. Nowadays, IDS facing composite demands to defeat modern attack activities from damaging the computer systems. Anomaly-Based IDS examines ongoing traffic, activity, transactions and behavior in order to identify intrusions by detecting anomalies. These technique identifies … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 3 · 4 May 2013 · 6,574 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPath Loss Prediction Using Fuzzy Inference System and Ellipsoidal RulesMario Versaci, Salvatore Calcagno, Fabio La Foresta, Biagio CammarotoIt is well known as the prediction of radio wave path loss in urban environment plays a key role in order to correctly plan wireless systems and mobile communication networks. To obtain more flexible prediction models able to give accurate results, in recent years Soft computing Techniques has been exploited. In this study, a novel approach based on ellipsoidal fuzzy … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 12 · 6 Dec 2012 · 6,770 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEvaluation on Score Reliability for Biometric Speaker Authentication SystemsDzati Athiar Ramli, Haryati Jaafar, Muhammad Hazim HasanProblem statement: Fusion weight tuning based on score reliability is imperative in order to ensure the performances of multibiometric systems are sustained. Approach: In this study, two variant of conditions i.e., different performances of individual subsystems and inconsistent quality of test samples are experimented to multibiometric systems. By applying multialgorithm scheme, two types of features extraction method i.e., Linear Predictive … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 9 · 16 Aug 2012 · 7,238 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Unique Novel Approach for Design and Analysis of A Robust Decentralized Self-Tuning Fuzzy PI Controller for a Multi Input Multi Output ProcessP. Sujatha Therese, N. Kesavan NairProblem statement: In the real world most of the controlled processes in industries are Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) in nature. They have more than a single controlled variable that should be manipulated in order to achieve the desired control performance.
