Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAgent Based Grid Resource Discovery with Negotiated Alternate Solution and Non-Functional Requirement PreferencesP. Muthuchelvi, G.S. Anandha Mala, V. RamachandranProblem statement: As grid resources are geographically distributed, efficient resource discovery and management has become one of the important requirements. Besides, Grid users are independent identities and negotiation is necessary for reconciling their diverse characteristics. Therefore special mechanism was required to negotiate and discover the required resource or similar resource as an alternative when discovery fails. Moreover the quality of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2009 · 7,508 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSupply Chain Performance Evaluation: Trends and ChallengesEzutah U. Olugu, Kuan Y. WongProblem statement: In today’s manufacturing world, globalization policies and rejuvenation have created a more intensive competition amongst manufacturers. On the other hand, manufacturers have turned to the option of adopting innovative technologies, process re-engineering and strategies such as efficient supply chain management to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. Effective supply chain performance measurement has been identified as a key issue … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2009 · 8,469 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Integrated Approach to Digital Objects Storage and RetrievalKhalil Shihab, Haider Ramadhan, Nida Al-ChalabiImage retrieval systems are becoming increasingly important in areas of research and commercial use. The storage of digital objects in the traditional databases is considered inadequate because of the extensive precise data required for successful retrieval. In addition, the retrieval process has been implemented using content-based image retrieval (CBIR) that relies on retrieving stored images from a collection by comparing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2006 · 6,497 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFault Detection of 3-Phase VSI using Wavelet-Fuzzy AlgorithmM. Rozailan Mamat, M. Rizon, M. S. KhannicheThe good knowledge and information about the fault mode behaviour of the PWM voltage source inverter is important to improve system design, protection and fault tolerant control. This paper develops a real-time condition-monitoring algorithm for 3-phase Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) inverter in fuzzy speed controlled induction machine. It is designed to detect and identify the transistor open-circuit fault and an … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2006 · 7,958 accessesView PDF Cite
