Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractINTELLISENSE CLUSTER MANAGEMENT AND ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING IN MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKSSangeetha Kuppusamy, Natarajan MathaiyanMobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of distributed nodes which communicate using multi-hop wireless links with frequent node mobility. The aim for ad hoc networks is to accommodate light-weight weight, battery supercharged transportable devices. Due to the restricted power, we've to vogue economical ways in which to use the current power. For a networking device, vital power is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 6,367 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImpulse Radio Ultra Wide Band Based Mobile Adhoc Network Routing Performance AnalysisM. Sreedhar, C. VenkateshThis study presents with the routing overhead analysis of impulse radio - Ultra Wide Band based wireless networks which Employs Dynamic Nature Routing (EDNR) method for determining and selecting the stable route in Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET). This method requires only two sample packets and uses piggyback information on Route-Request (RREQ) and Route-Reply (RREP) packets during a route-discovery procedure. Conventional … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 15 Apr 2013 · 5,887 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Evaluation of Multicrypt Encryption MechanismRhymend Uthariaraj Vaidyanathan, Lydia Elizabeth Benjamin, John Prakash ArockiasamyMulticast communication allows a single message packet to be routed to multiple nodes simultaneously. Membership in a multicast group is dynamic, allowing nodes to enter and leave the multicast session. Besides the benefits, multicast communication presents the challenge of securing the communication. In order to preserve confidentiality the general encryption mechanism used for point to point communications are used. A … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 4 Sep 2012 · 7,168 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEffective Authentication Technique for Distributed Denial of Service Attacks in Wireless Local Area NetworksM. Moorthy, S. SathiyabamaProblem statement: In 802.11-based Wireless LAN (WLAN), there is an mproved risk of security attacks. To defeat concealed attacks, there is a necessity to authenticate both access points and wireless stations. Approach: We propose a defensive technique for DDoS attack in WLAN. This authentication technique includes an Authentication Server (AS) in addition to the Wireless Station (WS) and Access Point … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 14 Mar 2012 · 7,075 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDevelopment of Wideband Planar Inverted-F Antennas for Wireless ApplicationSaida Ibnyaich, Abdelilah Ghammaz, Moha M’Rabet HassaniProblem statement: Due to the rapid development in wireless communication, the antennas capable of broad-band operations are very demanding in cellular communications systems. Among various possible antennas, planar inverted-F antennas (PIFAs) have the advantages of low profile and compact size and are very suitable for present-day wireless communication application. Approach: This study demonstrates a very effective method of bandwidth enhancement … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 14 Jul 2011 · 6,609 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPAPR Reduction Using BPSO/PTS and STBC in MIMO OFDM SystemKarima El Mouhib, Ahmed Oquour, Younes Jabrane et al.Problem statement: The Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system has been receiving a great attention, as one of solutions for achieving high speed, efficient and high-quality service for the wireless communications. However, the transmitted signal still has high PAPR because of OFDM characteristics. Many methods have been proposed to solve this problem, but the most … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 7,189 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOn-Chip Implementation of Pipeline Digit-Slicing Multiplier-Less Butterfly for Fast Fourier Transform ArchitectureYazan Samir Algnabi, Rozita Teymourzadeh, Masuri Othman et al.Problem statement: The need for wireless communication has driven the communication systems to high performance. However, the main bottleneck that affects the communication capability is the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), which is the core of most modulators. Approach: This study presented on-chip implementation of pipeline digit-slicing multiplier-less butterfly for FFT structure. The approach taken; in order to reduce computation complexity … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 4 · 30 Nov 2010 · 8,010 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHistory Based Contention Window Control in IEEE 802.11 MAC Protocol in Error Prone ChannelAli Balador, Ali Movaghar, Sam JabbehdariProblem statement: IEEE 802.11 Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol is one of the most implemented protocols in this network. The IEEE 802.11 controls the access to the share wireless channel within competing stations. The IEEE 802.11 DCF doubles the Contention Window (CW) size for decreasing the collision within contending stations and to improve the network performances but it is not … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 2 · 28 Jul 2010 · 7,662 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Preamble-Based Frequency Offset Compensation Scheme in Multiple Input Multiple Output Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing SystemsElnaz Ershadi, Hamidreza BakhshiProblem statement: Combining the properties of Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems with those of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM), MIMO-OFDM was considered to be a promising technique in the future of wireless communications. However, its sensitivity to frequency offsets which results in Inter-Carrier Interferences (ICIs) makes it necessary to use an exact frequency offset estimation method for data recovery … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2010 · 7,570 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Indoor Positioning System (IPS) using Grid ModelWutjanun Muttitanon, Nitin Kumar Tripathi, Marc SourisTo date many positioning systems are available to determine or track a user's location; three main categories include Global Positioning System (GPS), wide area location system and indoor positioning system. GPS has its limitation (poor signals) in indoor or urban uses, while wide-area location systems are cellular networks dependent. For indoor positioning system many approaches like infrared sensing, radio frequency, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2007 · 7,175 accessesView PDFCite
