Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOn the Need of Source Address for Route-Error Delivery in 6LoWPANShafique Ahmad ChaudhryLow-power Wireless Personal Area Networks (LoWPANs) comprise devices that conform to the IEEE standard 802.15.4. These networks need to be connected with other wireless and wired networks in order to maximize the utilization of information and other resources which are mainly associated with the Internet Protocol (IP)-based networks. The transmission of IPv6 over Low Power Wireless Personal Area Networks (6LoWPANs), … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 8 · 15 Nov 2015 · 6,292 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFramework for Managing the Very Large Scale Integration Design ProcessSabah Al-Fedaghi, Eman Al-DwaisanProblem statement: The VLSI design cycle was described in terms of successive states and substages; it starts with system specification and ends with packaging. At the next descriptive level, currently known methodologies (e.g., flowchart based, object-oriented based) lack a global conceptual representation suitable for managing the VLSI design process. Technical details were intermixed with tool-dependent and implementation issues such as … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 13 Dec 2011 · 7,497 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Channel Adaptive Energy Efficient and Fair Scheduling Media Access Control Protocol for Mobile AdHoc NetworksP. Priakanth, P. ThangarajProblem statement: A major drawback in the existing protocols in dealing with energy management issues is that the time varying nature of the wireless channels among the ad hoc nodes is ignored. Approach: This study proposed a channel adaptive energy efficient Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol, for efficient packets scheduling and queuing in an ad hoc network, with time varying … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2009 · 7,557 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Approach for Detecting Attacks in Mobile Adhoc NetworksV. Madhu Viswanatham, A. A. ChariThe security of data becomes more important with the increased use of commercial applications over wireless network environments. We presented an approach to handle various attacks for wireless networks. There were several problems of security in wireless networks due to intruders and different type of attacks such as Node Isolation, Route Disruption and Resource Consumption. There were better methods and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 6,928 accessesView PDF Cite

Research NotesOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Comprehensive Study on Mobility Issues in AODVThiripurasundari SivakrishnakumarAd-hoc network plays an important role in wireless networks as they are self-configured and can be operated independently with limited resources. The critical issue is to assess the performance of routing protocols in Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) due to the frequent changes in network topology. Here the Ad-hoc On demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol, which is quite susceptible … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 10 · 2 Jan 2016 · 6,729 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordFuzzy Based Secure Data Aggregation Technique in Wireless Sensor NetworksD. HevinRajesh, B. ParamasivanProblem statement: Secure data aggregation is a challenging task in wireless sensor network due to the facts like more complexity, greater overhead in the case of cryptographic techniques. These issues need to be overcome using efficient technique. Approach: We propose a fuzzy based secure data aggregation technique which was having 3 phases. In its first phase, it performs clustering and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 17 Mar 2012 · 7,257 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAuthenticated Broadcast in Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks using Chinese Remainder Theorem AlgorithmKalyani Palanisamy, ChellappanProblem statement: The security in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is a critical issue due to the inherent limitations of computational capacity, storage capacity and power usage. Key management only makes sure the communicating nodes possess the necessary keys, at the same time protecting the confidentiality, integrity and authenticity of the communicated data. Approach: Proposed a RSA-CRT methodology for authenticated broadcast … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,416 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordIrregular Class of Multistage Interconnection Network in Parallel ProcessingSandeep Sharma, K. S. Kahlon, P. K. Bansal, Kawaljeet SinghA major problem in designing a large-scale parallel and distributed system was the construction of an Interconnection Network (IN) to provide inter-processor communication. One of the biggest issues in the development of such a system was the development of an effective architecture and algorithms that have high reliability, give good performance (even in the presence of faults), low cost, low … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 7,062 accessesView PDF Cite
