Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Evaluation and Improvement of Main Road Intersections in Al-Bayda City Using Sidra SoftwareWalid Ahmida, Abdullatif Mohamed, Ashraf Fadiel, Taher Abu-LebdehIntersections are one of the most crucial parts of urban transportation systems since they actively contribute to developing strategies to reduce traffic congestion. Congestion is one of the major issues that intersections face as a result of the growth in traffic, which cause lower service levels and longer waiting time. The main goal of this study was to evaluate the … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 16, Issue 1 · 10 Mar 2023 · 5,700 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleHybrid Deep Learning Models for Text Classification: Performance Evaluation of TriDistilBERT and BiGRU ArchitecturesAmira Samy TalaatText can be a valuable source of information, but its unstructured nature makes analysis challenging and time-consuming. Machine Learning (ML) algorithms can efficiently analyze and structure text, enabling organizations to automate processes and uncover insights that support better decision-making. This study focuses on applying ML to a classification problem using two datasets. Four deep learning models are introduced, combining Bi … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 9 · 10 Oct 2025 · 2,799 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Evaluation of Handover in WiMax with TCP and UDP as Underlying ProtocolKaram Dhafer Mayoof, Rosilah Hassan, Amjed Sid Ahmed, Ahmed MarwanThe rejection of an ongoing connection/session is serious problem and it degrades the QoS and efficiency of the network rather than rejecting a request for new connection. The impact on performance of handovers is a serious problem in cellular systems that must be addressed. During handover there may be delay in packets and connections may drop. Real time applications i.e., … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 9 · 12 Dec 2015 · 7,249 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Evaluation of a Heavy Duty Chisel Plow at Various Tillage Depth and Forward SpeedsS. A. Al-Suhaibani, A.E. GhalyProblem statement: Tillage is a process of creating a desirable soil condition for seed germination and growth. The tillage of soil is considered to be one of the biggest farm operations as the tillage operation requires the most energy on the farm. Manufacturers of tillage implements tend to overdesign their products due to a lack of the proper testing and … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 4 · 4 Nov 2010 · 8,319 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Evaluation of Stable Weight-Based on Demand Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkOon Chong Hsi, Azizol AbdullahProblem statement: A MANET is an autonomous collection of mobile users that communicate over relatively bandwidth constrained wireless links. Since the nodes are mobile, the network topology may change rapidly and unpredictably over time. Approach: A Stable Weight-based On demand Routing Protocol (SWORP) that uses the weight-based route strategy to select a stable route was created by Wang. But SWORP … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2009 · 6,933 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMultilingual Database Management System: A Performance EvaluationNurul Husna Mohd Saad, Hamidah IbrahimProblem statement: The use of English as well as Arabic language is increasingly evident in the aspects of international business and finance. Therefore, this study explored the management of multilingual data in multilingual system in order to be able to cater two or more different speakers of Internet users. Approach: The proposed method is divided into two ends: The front-end … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 28 Jun 2011 · 7,410 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleIoT-Fog based Smart-Building Security System Design and Performance EvaluationMaha Medhat, Khaled El-Shafey, Ali RashedThis paper aims to develop a smart building-security system utilizing fog technology. Fog computing is an innovative solution to reduce latency and network congestion, in which the cloud is extended to the edge of the network. The proposed system can detect an intruder, fire and water leakage. It is implemented using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Pi-camera and different sensors. The sensors … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 9 · 3 Oct 2020 · 7,212 accessesView PDFCite
