Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA New Policy for Path Selection in Dynamic Source Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad-Hoc NetworksRagb O.M. Saleh, Md Yazid Mohd Saman, M. Nordin A. RahmanIn standard DSR protocol, nodes automatically discover and maintain the routes in the network by storing source routes, discovered dynamically on-demand. They maintain route caches that contain the source routes which the node is aware of. Entries are continually updated when new routes are learned and reorder the cached routes according to the traditional shortest path policy. The problem with … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 17 May 2013 · 6,216 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleRange Detection Multicast Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad-Hoc NetworksR. Velumani, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Many efforts have been implemented towards the Group membership management on multicast routing in MANETs, but the difficulties associated with Group membership management are still existed. Approach: Maintaining endurance of Group Leader (GL) in multicasting routing has been a great challenge to all the protocol having been invented so far. Results: This study provides the RDMP algorithm for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 10 Feb 2012 · 6,486 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSecure Enhanced Authenticated Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksM. Rajesh Babu, S. SelvanProblem statement: This study propose an improvement of Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector (AODV) Routing protocol in order to include some of the aspects of ad hoc networks such as load balancing, congestion avoidance and avoidance of link breakage. Approach: The most important problem nowadays is link breakage which mainly occurs due to excessive load and congestion in the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 12 · 17 Oct 2011 · 6,620 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDistributed Clusterhead Architecture for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksEmad Qaddoura, Wesam AlMobaideen, Ahmad OmariMobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) consists of dynamic topology as nodes in the network are mobile, and connected via wireless links. The nodes are grouped in clusters for the purpose of routing. Nodes within the cluster communicate directly. However, nodes communicate outside the cluster through a centralized node that is called a clusterhead. An elected clusterhead is assigned for communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2006 · 6,804 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAdaptive Reliable Efficient Multicasting Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksK. Baskaran, A. Ebenezer Jeyakumar, V. Sumathy, J. Lakshmana PerumalThe Adaptive Reliable Multicast Protocol (ARM) with intermediate node support is introduced to guarantee message delivery to all multicast receivers in mobile ad hoc environment. ARM distributes multicast message cache and retransmission tasks among intermediate nodes to offer a scalable reliable multicasting. Due to limited memory and node’s mobility, ARM defines intermediate node as all nodes which overhear multicast messages. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2005 · 6,818 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMachine Learning-Based Traffic Prediction in 4G LTE Networks. Case Study of a Mobile Operator in CameroonEric Michel Deussom Djomadji, Valery Nkemeni et al.Mobile subscribers are increasingly demanding the availability of broadband services while the radio resources allowing them to be connected are limited. Understanding mobile Internet consumption trends and subscriber traffic demands is essential to enable the management of existing radio resources. However, it can be difficult to understand and describe the data usage patterns of mobile users because of the complexity … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 18, Issue 1 · 1 Mar 2025 · 8,728 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePerformance Evaluation of Interference Mitigation Techniques in 4G Networks in Mobile EnvironmentsEmna Hajlaoui, Abdelhakim Khlifi, Samia Dardouri et al.Intercell Interference (ICI) is one of the major factors that limit the performance and Quality of Service (QoS) of 4G wireless networks (Long Term Evolution/LTE-Advanced). For this reason, heterogeneous networks present an attractive solution for the improvement of mobile network’s services to provide better data rates and coverage. So, a key scheme in 4G traffic processing is the interference mitigation … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 12 · 25 Dec 2019 · 7,317 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSocialMANET: A Publish/Subscribe Events Dissemination Protocol for Mobile Ad-Hoc NetworksMaurice Tchoupé Tchendji, Martin Xavier Tchembé, Innocent Tialo NecheuThe popularization of mobile equipment capable of communicating autonomously nowadays offers the possibility of thinking more seriously about a mode of communication in which stakeholders communicate in an ad-hoc manner and use mobility to convey information. However, due to their mobile nature, such equipments are limited by their low energy and storage capacity. Algorithms designed for them must therefore be … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 9 · 3 Sep 2019 · 7,681 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDevelopment of a Hybrid Power Module for Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks: Towards a Livestock Tracking and Identification SystemMolaletsa Namoshe, Oduetse Matsebe, Obakeng MaphaneSmart technology and Internet of Things (IoT) applications have gained popularity in the development of agricultural systems with Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) increasingly becoming the building blocks for IoT applications. However, WSNs have a limited power supply. As a result, these systems have a short lifespan, limited memory and low computing power. Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleANFIS Aided AODV Routing Protocolfor Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksVivek Sharma, Bashir Alam, M. N. DojaCommunication between mobile nodes is the key purpose of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs). However, increase in the traffic leads to multiple challenging issues like congestion among nodes, consumption of more bandwidth, high energy requirement and low efficiency output. A powerful solution to these issues of the MANET is to use intelligent routing protocols.
