Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Intrusion Detection Framework for MEC-Enabled IoT NetworksRofaida Tawfik, Abdelfattah Hegazy, Hesham Dahshan, Ahmed Gaber AbuabdallahMobile Edge Computing (MEC) has emerged as a promising paradigm for supporting latency-sensitive Internet of Things (IoT) applications by bringing computational resources closer to data sources. However, the distributed nature of MEC environments increases exposure to network-based security threats, particularly network intrusions that can impact both system reliability and task offloading efficiency. This paper proposes a security-aware framework that integrates … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 4 · 1 Apr 2026 · 1,921 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDevelopment of a Machine Learning Based Mobile and Web Crop Recommendation System for Precision Farming in WardhaAishwarya Kadu, KTV ReddyAgricultural productivity is crucial for economic growth of a nation, especially for countries like India which is highly dependent on agriculture. This study addresses the need for cutting-edge technology to enhance crop productivity by proposing a Mobile/Web-based precision farming system. Leveraging Machine Learning (ML) algorithms, the proposed system recommends optimal crops based on several factors such as environmental parameters (Nitrogen … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 20 Mar 2026 · 1,660 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerceptions of Smartphone Users’ Acceptance and Adoption of Mobile Commerce (MC): The Case of JordanAhmad Nabot, Firas Omar, Mohammed AlmousaThis study investigates smartphone users’ perceptions of adopting and accepting Mobile Commerce (MC) based on users’ perceived adoption under the extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM2) and Innovation Diffusion Theory (IDT) by providing research constructs for the domain of MC. Also, testing them with reliability and validity and demonstrating their distinctiveness with hypothesis testing. The results show that consumer intention to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 4 · 29 Apr 2020 · 7,866 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFault Node Detection and Connectivity Restoration with Mobile Relay Node in Wireless Sensor NetworksM.P. Anuradha, A.M. Swetha, Manivannan DoraipandianIn Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), node failure is an imperative concern in a hostile environment. These node failures create disjoints in the network and leads to a network partitioning problem. It is important for the nodes to be alive and communicate with each other to check the network connectivity. Replacement of Mobile Relay Nodes (MRN) in the location of faulty … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 4 · 1 Apr 2020 · 7,917 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Optimized Mobile Cloud Computational Offloading Framework using K-Means AlgorithmMeena Veeraiyan, S. Kousika, J. Senthilkumar, Joy Christy AntonysamiOffloading the execution of heavy computational modules from mobile devices to Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) is inevitable in today’s era as it mainly focuses in consuming less battery power and execution time. But, the problem incurred with identifying the most optimal cloud device to map each module still remains a challenge in cloud computing environment. In this paper, a novel … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 2 · 31 Jan 2020 · 8,084 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNovel Scheme for Enhancing Storage Management and Performance and Saving Energy of Mobile Cloud ComputingAli A. Yassin, Abdulla J. Yassin, Abdullah Mohammed Rashid, Ahmed A. AlkadhmaweeModern industries for smart mobile devices, such as smartphones, provide end users with interactive features that consider network accessibility, computation performance, storage usage, energy saving and limited battery resources. The combination of cloud and mobile computing capabilities has introduced a new technology called Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC), which has extended smartphones and modern mobile devices beyond their core capacities. Many … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 5 · 9 May 2019 · 7,871 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEvaluation of the Impact of Obstacles on the Capacity of a LTE Network in Urban Area in the UplinkAkohoule Alex, Konate Adama, Brou Pacôme, Asseu OlivierPower control is a major issue in the deployment of 4G mobile networks. Indeed, environmental constraints (relief, Air, noise,...) affect the propagation channels of mobile network systems. The new multimedia services, which consume large amounts of radio resources (frequencies), then lead to an optimization of power control in the cellular coverage in the uplink direction. The aim is to optimize … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 1 · 17 Jan 2019 · 8,295 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Enhancement of Dyslexic Mobile Application using Sight Word Reading Strategy: Results and FindingsNoor Hazlini Borhan, Cheah Wai Shiang, Po-Chan Chiu et al.Dyslexia is an indicating term for learning disorder due to the difficulty in identifying speech and sound of letters and words, causing reading difficulty. Most children with dyslexia utilise the greater part of their senses to connect with their environment. One of the difficulties faced by dyslexic children is their troubles expressing their emotion or thought through verbal or written … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 7 · 28 May 2018 · 8,936 accessesView PDFCite
