Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsGROUP MANAGEMENT IN MOBILE ADHOC NETWORKSK. Senthil Kumar, S. Sasi Kumar, C. SugapriyaIn this study, we proposed an algorithm for Cluster Based Zone Allocation method (CBZA) for energy conservation and packet dropping in mobile ad hoc network. MANET is a self-organized, temporarily dynamic network and their nodes are mobile without using any infrastructure. However, secure communication occurs between group nodes based on cluster method. In multicast routing, group information is shared by … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 7 · 22 Apr 2014 · 6,321 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAN ENHANCED ROUTE FAILURE RECOVERY MODEL FOR MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKSP. R. Jasmine Jeni, A. Vimala Julie, A. Messiah BoseIn Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET), change in topology of the network occurs due to the mobility factor of the nodes leading to the extension in size of the network. The extension of network size happens due to the entry of nodes into the network. As the topology changes, link failure between the nodes takes place due to several reasons … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 8 Apr 2014 · 6,730 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA MOBILE AGENT BASED INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE FOR MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKSBinod Kumar Pattanayak, Mamata RathApplications of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) have become extensively popular over the years among the researchers. However, the dynamic nature of MANETs imposes a set of challenges to its efficient implementation in practice. One of such challenges represents intrusion detection and prevention procedures that are intended to provide secured performance of ad hoc applications. In this study, we introduce … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 6 · 28 Jan 2014 · 7,267 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsEVALUATING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE LOCATION-AIDED ROUTING-1P ROUTE DISCOVERY ALGORITHMAli Maqousi, Hussein Al-BahadiliDynamic Routing Protocols (DRPs) are widely-used for routing information among mobile nodes in Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) and establish and maintain connectivity within the network. A DRP comprises two main phases: route discovery and route maintenance. The route discovery phase involves transmission of large number of redundant control packets consuming significant portion of the nodes power and increase communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 28 Nov 2013 · 6,480 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA PREEMPTIVE LINK STATE SPANNING TREE SOURCE ROUTING PROTOCOL FOR MOBILE ADHOC NETWORKSPoonkuzhali Ramadoss, Sanavullah Mohamed Yakub, Sabari AnnajiRouting protocol is a central issue in Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANET). Several routing protocols have been proposed to deal with the routing issue in MANETs. Routing is a complex task in MANET, if the network is heavily loaded. In this study a new QoS routing protocol is proposed which provides better path selection by avoiding congestion, balancing the load and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 1 · 12 Nov 2013 · 6,991 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsSTUDY AND ANALYSIS OF ROUTING PROTOCOLS IN MOBILE AD-HOC NETWORKUma Mani, Ramasamy Chandrasekaran, V. R. Sarma DhulipalaMobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) is a network without a fixed Infrastructure. In wireless networks users expect to get access to the network security and to exchange information anytime and anywhere. The ad hoc wireless network consists of mobile networks which creates architecture for communication without the help of traditional fixed-position routers. Establishing strong routes and providing security are the main … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 30 Sep 2013 · 6,706 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsLIGHTWEIGHT VIGILANT PROCEDURE TO IMPLEMENT SECURITY MEASURES IN HIGHLY ROVING MILITARY OPERATIONSJ. Udhayan, Rajesh BabuThe performance of Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) becomes questionable in highly roving and mission critical application like military operation. Security measures like encryption, authentication, digital signature has been proposed for MANET. However all those mechanisms need some kind of static infrastructure and it is extremely difficult to implement such an infrastructure throughout the military mission. Therefore in this work, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 18 Sep 2013 · 6,641 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsQUALITY OF SERVICE AWARE OF CROSS LAYER APPROACH ON ADAPTIVE GATEWAY DISCOVERY SCHEME FOR MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKSK. Palani, P. RamamoorthyThe Quality of Service (QoS) providing in Mobile Ad hoc networks has been obtaining increasing importance, specifically Consider the domains of application for networks in disaster environments and defense ventures, QoS is performing level of a service recommended by the network to the consumer. Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) are necessary because of wireless infrastructure network is complicated to setup … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 6,206 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsLink Stability with Energy Aware Ad Hoc on Demand Multipath Routing Protocol in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksSenthil Murugan Tamilarasan, Kannan EswariahMobile Ad Hoc Network is one of the wireless network in which mobile nodes are communicate with each other and have no infrastructure because no access point. The MANET protocols can be classified as proactive and reactive routing protocol. The proactive routing protocols, all nodes which participated in network have routing table. This table updated periodically and is used to … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 24 Jul 2013 · 6,505 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsSecured Routing with Authentication in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksT. Guru Baskar, D. ManimegalaiA Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically forms a temporary network without any fixed infrastructure. Each node participates in the ad hoc routing protocol that helps it to discover multi-hop paths through the network to any node. Security challenges have become a primary concern for these networks due to their characteristics such … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 9 May 2013 · 6,065 accessesView PDFCite
