Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Enhanced and Cost Effective Group Key Management Scheme for Multicast NetworkSaravana Kumar Muthusamy, Purusothaman Thiyagarajan, Lavanya SelvarajKey management plays a vital role in the data communications. The proposed scheme is a key management scheme that provides more efficient and secure methods for key generation and utilization. Enhanced and cost effective key management scheme achieves a secure communication between the members within the group-based network. In this scheme, the group key is generated only once which is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 10 May 2013 · 6,395 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance of Energy Detection and Matched Filter Receivers in Human Body Communication ChannelMohamad Abou El-Nasr, Heba Shaban, Mohammed Al-AbyadhThis study studies the Bit-Error-Rate (BER) performance of matched filter and energy detection receivers in Human Body Communication (HBC) channel model. HBC, as defined by the IEEE 802.15 Task Group (TG) 6, is a Body Area Network (BAN) at frequency band 5-50 MHz, where communication is from body surface to body surface. The Bit-Error-Rate (BER) performance is investigated for Energy … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 12 · 5 Jan 2013 · 6,699 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Evaluation of Multicrypt Encryption MechanismRhymend Uthariaraj Vaidyanathan, Lydia Elizabeth Benjamin, John Prakash ArockiasamyMulticast communication allows a single message packet to be routed to multiple nodes simultaneously. Membership in a multicast group is dynamic, allowing nodes to enter and leave the multicast session. Besides the benefits, multicast communication presents the challenge of securing the communication. In order to preserve confidentiality the general encryption mechanism used for point to point communications are used. A … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 4 Sep 2012 · 7,174 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRouting Based Data Security in Mobile Ad Hoc Network Using Group Key ManagementE. Mohanraj, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: A mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is a self-organizing system of mobile devices followed an infrastructure less framework associated by wireless links. In MANET, there is a possibility of packet data to get lost or hacked by an attacker. So, to improve a secure communication over MANET from attackers, several techniques have been developed. The previous work developed to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 10 · 29 Aug 2012 · 6,700 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnd to End Delay Improvement in Heterogeneous Multicast Network using Genetic OptimizationV. Chandrasekar, K. BaskaranProblem statement: Multicast is a concept of group communication which refers to transmitting the same data or messages from a source to multiple destinations in the network. This one-to-many group communication is a generalization of the concepts of one-to-one unicast and one-to-all broadcast. To deliver data from the sender to all receivers efficiently, routing plays an important role in multicast … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 9 · 13 Aug 2012 · 6,737 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Adult Educator of Immigrants as an Intercultural ConsultantAthina A. Sipitanou, Alexandra S. FoukidouProblem statement: Inspired by this multi-cultural situation in Greece and the need of immigrants for participation in adult education, this article examines an aspect of the Adult Educator who has to develop intercultural techniques in the frame of his role in order to become an Intercultural consultant. Therefore the aim of this study is to examine specific characteristics that define … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 5 Mar 2012 · 8,703 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSecure Group Key Management for Dynamic Sensor NetworksN. Suganthi, V. Sumathi, R S. MohanapriyhaProblem statement: Key management is an important cryptographic technique for providing security in a dynamic environment of sensor networks. To provide a secure communication among a group of sensor nodes keys should established in an efficient manner. We introduced an efficient and dynamic key management system for dynamic sensor networks. Approach: We pre deployed some of the keying materials in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 28 Jun 2011 · 6,749 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Novel Routing Protocol with High Energy Performance in Mobile Special NetworksAli Norouzi, B. Berk UstundagProblem statement: Mobile Special Networks do not have a predetermined structure. This type of networks can dynamically reorganize network connection relationships due to change of neighborhoods and the relative positions. Approach: There are many problems in creation of a special network such as routing, wireless media, energy consumption and transportability. Results: Although these networks primarily had been formed for small … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 15 Jan 2011 · 7,306 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOptimization of Clustering Time by a Group of Autonomous Robots Making Use of an Exclusive Multi-MarkingMohamed Rida Abdessemed, Kamel Khoualdi, Azeddine BilamiProblem statement: For solving complex issues, the current tendency goes towards the swarms behaviors, realized on a basis of collective interactions, which results from a cooperative work favoring exchanges between individuals of a same group at microscopic level and allowing the emergence of complex collective behaviors at macroscopic level. Many models were inspired by these attitudes to find simple rules, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 9 Nov 2010 · 6,892 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSecurity Challenges in Multicast Communication for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkS. Gunasekaran, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Multicasting communication network accepted a single message from an application and delivered copies of the message to multiple recipients at different locations. Recently, there has been an explosion of research literature on multicast communication environment. The objective of this study were to contribute the complexity of supporting current multicast applications, (i) the lack of reliable multicast transport mechanisms … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 5 · 31 May 2010 · 6,126 accessesView PDFCite
