Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDevelopment of Software Reliability Growth Models for Industrial Applications Using Fuzzy LogicSultan AljahdaliProblem statement: The utilization of Software Reliability Growth Models (SRGM) plays a major role in monitoring progress, accurately predicting the number of faults in the software during both development and testing processes; define the release date of a software product, helps in allocating resources and estimating the cost for software maintenance. This leads to achieving the required reliability level of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 9 Aug 2011 · 7,007 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleFuzzy Logic Controller for Wireless Video TransmissionK. P. Rajesh, K. S. RamaswamiProblem statement: As the Variable Bit Rate (VBR) is high in MPEG, the video experienced long delay and unexpected data loss. In wireless channel, due to noise and interference of other signals transmission rate cannot be predicted. Approach: In this paper we proposed an intelligent fuzzy logic controller for transmission of Moving Picture Expert Group (MPEG-4) video signals over wireless … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 30 Jun 2011 · 6,950 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleFuzzy Logic Controller for Static Synchronous Series Compensator with Energy Storage System for Transient Stability AnalysisSona Padma, M. RajaramProblem statement: FACTS devices play a major role in the efficient operation of the complex power system. FACTS devices such as STATCOM, SSSC and IPFC are in increasing usage. With energy storage systems they have a good control over the real as well as reactive power compensation and transient stability improvement. The design of controller for the SSSC with SMES … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,694 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleModification Approach of Fuzzy Logic Model for Predicting of Cutting Force When Machining Nickel Based Hastelloy C-276Basim A. Khidhir, Bashir Mohamed, Mahmoud A.A. YounisProblem statement: Most Nickel based Hastelloy C-276 is a difficult-to-machine material because of its low thermal diffusive property and high strength at high temperature. Machinability consideration of nickel based Hastelloy C-276 in turning operations has been carried out using ceramic inserts under dry conditions. Approach: This study described a modification approach applied to a fuzzy logic based model for predicting … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2010 · 8,456 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleHybrid Fuzzy Logic Control with Input Shaping for Input Tracking and Sway Suppression of a Gantry Crane SystemM. A. Ahmad, Z. MohamedProblem statement: Most of the common gantry crane results in a sway motion when transporting the load as fast as possible. In addition, precise cart position control of gantry crane must required a zero or near zero residual sway. Approach: In this study, the development of hybrid control schemes for input tracking and anti-sway control of a gantry crane system … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2009 · 8,057 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDesign and Implementation of an Optimal Fuzzy Logic Controller Using Genetic AlgorithmS. Khan, S. F. Abdulazeez, L. W. Adetunji et al.All control systems suffer from problems related to undesirable overshoot, longer settling times and vibrations while going form one state to another state. Most of relevant techniques had been in the form of suggesting modification and improvement in the instrumentation or interfacing part of the control system and the results reported, remain suffering from shortcomings related to hardware parameter dependence … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2008 · 8,049 accessesView PDFCite
