Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCost-Effective Wire-Harness Model by Using Polymer Optical FiberMohammad Syuhaimi Ab-Rahman, Farshad Nasimi KhamenehIn the past decade automotive industries faced the exponential increase of in-vehicle electronic devices. The hydraulic systems are replacing with sophisticate electronic systems. Market demands for exploiting new in-vehicle technologies such as multimedia systems, internet access, GPS, Mobile communication, internal private network; engine, body and power train intelligent control and monitoring systems are increasing daily. These new needs make the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 7 · 25 Jun 2013 · 7,021 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPower Analysis on Same Filter Different Sources for Selection of Spectral Filters in Optical DemultiplexerMohammad Syuhaimi Ab-Rahman, Hadiguna, Latifah Sarah SupianThe cost effective demultiplexer based on POF is reported in this study. The demultiplexer is fabricated by combining optical splitter with the suitable filter for wavelength selection. Therefore this study we aims to evaluate the effectiveness of selected color filter film for demultiplexer construction where only signals with certain wavelengths are allowed to pass through the demultiplexer while the other … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 7 · 18 Jun 2013 · 6,548 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractReal Time Multigraphs for Communication Networks: An Intuitionistic Fuzzy Mathematical ModelSiddhartha Sankar Biswas, Bashir Alam, Mohammad Najmud DojaMany problems of computer science, communication network, transportation systems, can be modeled into multigraphs (or graphs) and then can be solved. Nowadays, the networks are expanding very fast in huge volumes in terms of their nodes and the connecting links. For a given alive network, in many situations, its complete topology may not be always available to the communication systems … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 7 · 17 Jun 2013 · 7,068 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Enhanced and Cost Effective Group Key Management Scheme for Multicast NetworkSaravana Kumar Muthusamy, Purusothaman Thiyagarajan, Lavanya SelvarajKey management plays a vital role in the data communications. The proposed scheme is a key management scheme that provides more efficient and secure methods for key generation and utilization. Enhanced and cost effective key management scheme achieves a secure communication between the members within the group-based network. In this scheme, the group key is generated only once which is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 10 May 2013 · 6,390 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSelection of Spectral Filters for Optical Demultiplexer Via Same Source Different Filters Testing TechniqueMohammad Syuhaimi Ab-Rahman, Hadiguna, Latifah Sarah Supian, Malik SulaimanThis study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of selected color filter film for demultiplexer construction where only signals with certain wavelengths are allowed to pass through the demultiplexer while the other signal that carrying different wavelengths are absorbed. Characterization testing and analysis is done based on recorded data. Demultiplexer components are characterized by the Same Source at Different Filters (SSDF) … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 9 May 2013 · 6,247 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEfficient Star Topology based Multicast Key Management AlgorithmK. Saravanan, T. PurusothamanProblem statement: Secure group communication is very important for many applications such as internet pay sites. It provides efficient delivery of identical data to only the customers in the group. In large and dynamic multicast groups, the group keys of members have to be changed frequently whenever the member leaves or joins. A common method is to apply a symmetric … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 22 Mar 2012 · 7,344 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Multi-Agent Based Data Replication Mechanism for Mobile GridT. Senthilnathan, T. PurusothamanProblem statement: In Mobile grid, the mobile devices can be effectively incorporated in to the Grid. It enables both the mobility of the users requesting access to a fixed grid and the resources that are themselves as part of the grid. There are number challenging issues for mobile grid; such as connectivity, availability, maintainability, consistency and fault tolerance. This study … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 13 Feb 2012 · 6,838 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCustomer-Made 3×3 Polymer Optical Fiber Splitter Based on Green Technology using Fusion TechniqueMohammad Syuhaimi Ab-Rahman, Nik Nur Syahirah Mohammad, Hadi Guna et al.Problem statement: Polymer Optical Fiber (POF) has many advantages making it the choice of today’s communication, especially in automotive industry. This communication requires low cost ways for much information to be sent simultaneously. Because of this, using Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) concept, a low cost and green 3×3 POF splitter is fabricated. It is fabricated using cheap and easy-to-find tools … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 11 Feb 2012 · 6,842 accessesView PDFCite
