Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Multi-Agent Based Data Replication Mechanism for Mobile GridT. Senthilnathan, T. PurusothamanProblem statement: In Mobile grid, the mobile devices can be effectively incorporated in to the Grid. It enables both the mobility of the users requesting access to a fixed grid and the resources that are themselves as part of the grid. There are number challenging issues for mobile grid; such as connectivity, availability, maintainability, consistency and fault tolerance. This study … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 13 Feb 2012 · 6,838 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePerformance Analysis of a Highly Available Home Agent in Mobile NetworksAbdelgadir Tageldin Abdelgadir, Mohiuddin Ahmed, Al-Sakib Khan Pathan et al.Problem statement: Network Mobility as a service is provided by the NEMO protocol in IPv6 environments. NEMO is an extension to MIPv6 and thus inherits the same reliability problems of MIPv6. MIPv6 is not reliable because the Home Agent (HA) is a single point of failure. In order to provide real-time services for MIPv6 networks, reliability should be considered as … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 27 Oct 2011 · 7,159 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEffects of Complexing Agent on Electrochemical Micro Machining of Stainless SteelChen Hui, Wang Yu-Kui, Wang Zhen-Long, Zhao Wan-ShengProblem statement: Electrochemical Machining (ECM) is a prospective technique in micro machining. The productions of work piece in ECM are precipitation of hydroxide, which will block the machining gap. To prevent the formation of hydroxide, acids were often used. To machining work piece which is not acid-resistant, acids are not suitable. Approach: This study is conducted to find the effects … …Current Research in Nanotechnology, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 15 Jun 2011 · 7,113 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAgent Technology Application Strategies in Personal and Team Software Process EnvironmentRusli Abdullah, Amir Mohamed Talib, Erizal Kamal MisranProblem statement: Modern system development emphasize on the use of standard and procedures to ensure the system develop meets user needs and of high quality. Standards such as Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), Software Process Improvement and Capability determination (SPICE) and ISO/IEC 90003:2004 are introduced. Personal Software Process (PSP) focusing on improving the individual engineer tasks in software development activities … …American Journal of Economics and Business Administration, Vol. 3, Issue 2 · 27 May 2011 · 8,298 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleStructured Integration Test Suite Generation Process for Multi-Agent SystemZina Houhamdi, Belkacem AthamenaProblem statement: In recent years, Agent-Oriented Software Engineering (AOSE) methodologies are proposed to develop complex distributed systems based upon the agent paradigm. The implementation for such systems has usually the form of Multi-Agent Systems (MAS). Testing of MAS is a challenging task because these systems are often programmed to be autonomous and deliberative and they operate in an open world, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,451 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Secure Mobile Agent System against Tailgating AttacksP. Marikkannu, Adri Jovin, PurusothamanProblem statement: A lot of real time applications have extended their hands towards Mobile Agents to accomplish various tasks, due to its flexibility in its functionalities. Since Mobile Agent Systems are used in a distributed environment, it is obvious that they may be vulnerable to various security threats. Most of the security threats faced by the mobile agent systems are … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 6,944 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Ontology Driven, Procedural Reasoning System-Like Agent Model, For Multi-Agent Based Mobile Workforce Brokering SystemsArash Mousavi, Md. Jan Nordin, Zulaiha Ali OthmanProblem statement: It has been proven that Believe, Desire, Intention (BDI) agent architecture, performs suitably in dynamic and unpredictable environments. Although BDI architecture has been formulated rigorously, implementing BDI architecture is not as straightforward as it has been promised. Nevertheless, the preeminent implementation of BDI architecture is Procedural Reasoning System (PRS) and Jadex is a Java-based platform that successfully applies … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 5 · 31 May 2010 · 7,664 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Fault Tolerant Mobile Agent Information Retrieval SystemR. Punithavathi, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Most of the information retrieval systems used only client-server architectures. The client-server model though powerful, had some limitations. In mobile computing environment which has both wired network and wireless networks with limited communication capabilities, the performance of the system was very low. Approach: Mobile agents are considered a suitable technology to develop applications such as information retrieval system … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 5 · 31 May 2010 · 7,203 accessesView PDFCite
