Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPerformance Comparison of Three-Phase Shunt Active Power Filter AlgorithmsMoleykutty George, Kartik Prasad BasuThe usage of parallel converters is ever increasing. However, the voltage and current harmonics, zero-sequence and negative- sequence components of voltage and current and reactive power present in parallel converters give an alarming signal to power system and power electronic engineers. This research discusses performance of three-phase shunt active power filter (APF) system using three different control techniques namely synchronous … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2008 · 6,810 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordBlack White Color and Gray Pixel Extraction ModelK. Selvam, B. PoornaThis is a design approach of software on image and pattern recognition, while eliminating the color and gray code of an image for comparison. This approach is quite effective for black and white and color images or scenes. Here we select particular part or parts of a given image and we compare with the contents of template-image (biometric) database. This … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2007 · 6,862 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Comparison of Spatio-Temporal Bayesian Models for Reconstruction of Rainfall Fields in a Cloud Seeding ExperimentSujit k. sahu, Giovanna Jona Lasinio, Arianna orasi, Kanti V. MardiaIn response to the drought experienced in Southern Italy a rain seeding project has been setup and developed during the years 1989-1994. The initiative was taken with the purpose of applying existing methods of rain enhancement technology to regions of south Italy including Puglia. The aim of this study is to provide statistical support for the evaluation of the experimental … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 1, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2005 · 6,810 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordComparison of Probability Curves Obtained from 2 Quantitative Allergen-specific IgE Assays: FEIA and 3gAllergyTMT. M. Li, T. Chuang, S. M. Li, D. Hovanec-BurnsThe validity and benefit of probability curves in allergen-specific IgE (sIgE) testing and their applicability to more than a few allergens are still pending. One study[1] presented probability curves for 4 food allergens and proposed decision points to rule out the need for food challenges in his clinic. Since then, such cutoffs were reported by Boyano-Martinez[2] to be dependent on … …American Journal of Immunology, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 6,737 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordEnergy and Carbon Flux Coupling: Multi-ecosystem Comparisons Using Artificial Neural NetworkAssefa M. Melesse, Rodney S. HanleyA multi-ecosystems carbon flux simulation from energy fluxes is presented. A new statistical learning technique based on Artificial Neural Network (ANN) back propagation algorithm and multi-layer perceptron architecture was used in the CO2 simulation. Four input layers (net radiation, soil heat flux, sensible and latent heat flux) were used for training (calibration) and testing (verification) of model outputs. The 15-days … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2005 · 7,347 accessesView PDF Cite
