Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA New Policy for Path Selection in Dynamic Source Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad-Hoc NetworksRagb O.M. Saleh, Md Yazid Mohd Saman, M. Nordin A. RahmanIn standard DSR protocol, nodes automatically discover and maintain the routes in the network by storing source routes, discovered dynamically on-demand. They maintain route caches that contain the source routes which the node is aware of. Entries are continually updated when new routes are learned and reorder the cached routes according to the traditional shortest path policy. The problem with … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 17 May 2013 · 6,218 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordTCP Optimal Performance in Wireless Networks ApplicationsEmad Qaddoura, Abdelghani Daraiseh, Wesam Al Mobaideen et al.Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) consists of dynamic topology as nodes in the network are mobile, and connected via wireless links. The nodes are grouped in clusters for the purpose of routing. Nodes within the cluster communicate directly. However, nodes communicate outside the cluster through a centralized node that is called a clusterhead. An elected clusterhead is assigned for communication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 May 2006 · 6,422 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordImproving Routing Discovery Based Velocity-Aware Probabilistic Using AODV with Link Prediction in Mobile Ad-hoc NetworksZaid BassfarThe current process associated with enhancing the QoS in routing for MANETs has reserved a high importance due to the limitation of available route discovery in dynamic topology. The conventional methods of route discovery schemes in MANETs are commonly designed in order to estimate the number of nodes in routes using the standard probabilistic models. Such models are utilized by … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 8 · 1 Aug 2017 · 7,660 accessesView PDFCite
Technical ReportOpen accessAll words, across the recordReport on the Evaluation of Ugua J2 and J3 Reservoir PerformanceOkotie Sylvester, Ikporo Bibobra, Ovuema AugustinaGlobally, there are different techniques applied in the industry such as analog, volumetric, decline curve, material balance and simulation methods to estimate hydrocarbon reserves which depends upon the volume and quality of available data with some levels of uncertainties. The analogy method is applied by comparing factors for the current fields or wells while the volumetric method implies the determination … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 7 Nov 2015 · 7,666 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Novel Method of Voltage Sag and Swell Estimation for Power System ApplicationsA. Vetrivel, Jovitha Jerome, N. MalmuruganThis study presents four simple mathematical models to build the voltage shape with the knowledge of few parameters and detects voltage sag and swells accurately. Fourier series, cubic polynomial, Rational functions and Sum of Sin functions are used in this study to model the voltage profile. A new algorithm is developed to detect sag or swell in all the four … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 2 · 4 Jul 2013 · 7,085 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPerformance Analysis of a Highly Available Home Agent in Mobile NetworksAbdelgadir Tageldin Abdelgadir, Mohiuddin Ahmed, Al-Sakib Khan Pathan et al.Problem statement: Network Mobility as a service is provided by the NEMO protocol in IPv6 environments. NEMO is an extension to MIPv6 and thus inherits the same reliability problems of MIPv6. MIPv6 is not reliable because the Home Agent (HA) is a single point of failure. In order to provide real-time services for MIPv6 networks, reliability should be considered as … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 27 Oct 2011 · 7,162 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAn Optimal Path Management Strategy in Mobile Ad Hoc Network Using Fuzzy and Rough Set TheoryP. Seethalakshmi, M. Joseph Auxilius Jude, G. RajendranProblem statement: Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically forms a network. Most of the existing ad-hoc routing algorithms select the shortest path using various resources. However the selected path may not consider all the network parameters and this would result in link instability in the network. The problems with existing methods are … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 15 Oct 2011 · 7,671 accessesView PDFCite

RajaramProblem statement: With the explosive growth of and internet and web applications many emerging group-oriented distributed applications such as tele/video-conferencing, multiplayer games are based on group communication model that need security services such as privacy and data integrity Hence a secure distributed group key agreement is required to establish and authenticate a common group key for secure and private communication. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 15 Jul 2011 · 6,646 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordControlling Label Size Increment of Efficient XML Encoding and Labeling Scheme in Dynamic XML UpdateMeghdad Mirabi, Hamidah Ibrahim, Ali Mamat et al.Problem statement: In order to facilitate XML query processing, labeling schemes are used to determine the structural relationships between XML nodes. However, labeling schemes have to reliable the existing nodes or recalculate the label values when a new node is inserted into the XML document during XML update process. EXEL as a labeling scheme is able to remove relabeling for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 30 Nov 2010 · 7,421 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAn Effective Location-Based Power Conservation Scheme for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksKhalid Kaabneh, Azmi Halasa, Hussein Al-BahadiliProblem statement: One of the major issues in current reactive routing protocols for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) is the high bandwidth and power consumptions during the routing process. In this study, we proposed and evaluated the performance of an efficient Location-Based Power Conservation (LBPC) scheme for MANETs. Approach: In this scheme, the transmitting node utilized the location-information of the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2009 · 6,839 accessesView PDFCite
