Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordEffective Processing of Constraints based Spatial Join using R-TreesR. Parvathi, S. PalaniammalProblem statement: This study focuses on the spatial join effects with the constraints-based spatial data without any extra cost and Finding the minimum execution time of the spatial query and spatial selection method. Approach: Spatial joins are used to combine the spatial objects. The efficient processing depends upon the spatial queries. The execution time and I/O time of spatial queries … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 29 Oct 2011 · 6,256 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA New Scalable and Reliable Cost Effective Key Agreement Protocol for Secure Group CommunicationS. Jabeen Begum, Dr. T. PurusothamanProblem statement: In a heterogeneous environment, for a secure multicast communication, the group members have to share a secret key which is used to encrypt/decrypt the secret messages among the members. The Secure Group Communication of large scale multicast group in a dynamic environment is more complex than securing one-to-one communication due to the inherent scalability issue of group key … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 7 Mar 2011 · 6,960 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordComparison of Pre-Processing and Classification Techniques for Single-Trial and Multi-Trial P300-Based Brain Computer InterfacesChanan S. Syan, Randy E.S. HarnarinesinghThe P300 component of Event Related Brain Potentials (ERP) is commonly used in Brain Computer Interfaces (BCI) to translate the intentions of an individual into commands for external devices. The P300 response, however, resides in a signal environment of high background noise. Consequently, the main problem in developing a P300-based BCI lies in identifying the P300 response in the presence … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 7, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2010 · 7,570 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordEffective Load Metric and Efficient Initial Job Placement for Dynamic Load Balancing in ClusterP. Sammulal, M. V. Gopalachari, A. V. BabuHigh performance clusters are being configured specially to give data centers that require extreme performance and the processing power they need. When the data is accessed across clusters the data latency time has significant impact on the performance. In the literature it is given that memory and I/O have become the new bottleneck, instead of processing power in achieving efficient … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2008 · 6,904 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordBy-pass Devices as Effective Means of Protection from the Hydraulic HammerKhalid S. Al-RababaSwitching-off the parallel working pump units causes sudden discharge changes in parallel pipe lines, as a result of that hydraulic shocks takes place. The damping of these shocks can be achieved by the installation of the by-pass devices between the parallel lines of the piping system. The analytical calculations demonstrate that the reduction in hydraulic shocks reaches 40% and considerable … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2005 · 6,912 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Complete Automation of Unit Testing for JavaScript ProgramsM. AlshraidehProblem statement: Program testing is expensive and labor intensive, often consuming more than half of the total development costs, and yet it is frequently not done well and the results are not always satisfactory. The objective of this paper is to present an automatic test data generation tool that aims to completely automate unit testing of JavaScript functions. The methodology: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2008 · 7,289 accessesView PDF Cite
