Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Optimal Load Sharing Technique For Grid ComputingD. Ramesh, A. KrishnanProblem statement: Grid and Cloud Computing is the fast growing industry, in which the grid computing shares the resources in the organization in an effective manner. Resource sharing requires more optimized algorithmic structure, otherwise the waiting time and response time are increased and the resource utilization is reduced. Approach: In order to avoid such reduction in the performances of the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 7 · 29 May 2012 · 6,965 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractBuffer Pocketing and Pre-Checking on Buffer UtilizationK. Saravanan, R. M. SureshProblem statement: In this study, the paper proposes the development of Effective Buffer Utilization on Adaptive Router with Buffer Pocketing and Pre-Buffer Checking Technique. Network-on-Chip could be prepared more capable by tricky faster routers. By using improved buffers, superior number of ports and channels, adaptive routing, all of which acquire key of overheads in hardware costs. Approach: This technique will … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 23 Apr 2012 · 6,908 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFramework for Managing the Very Large Scale Integration Design ProcessSabah Al-Fedaghi, Eman Al-DwaisanProblem statement: The VLSI design cycle was described in terms of successive states and substages; it starts with system specification and ends with packaging. At the next descriptive level, currently known methodologies (e.g., flowchart based, object-oriented based) lack a global conceptual representation suitable for managing the VLSI design process. Technical details were intermixed with tool-dependent and implementation issues such as … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 13 Dec 2011 · 7,491 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCoverage Eligibility Rule based Coverage Maintenance Protocol for Energy Conservation in Wireless Sensor NetworksA. Balamurugan, T. PurushothamanProblem statement: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) comprise of small nodes with sensing, computation and wireless communication capabilities. Nodes in a sensor network are severely constrained by energy and computing power. Continuous working of sensor nodes leads to quick depletion of battery power and reduces the overall lifetime. To prolong the lifetime of the sensor nodes, efficient routing protocol that could … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 6 Aug 2011 · 6,630 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAuthenticated Broadcast in Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks using Chinese Remainder Theorem AlgorithmKalyani Palanisamy, ChellappanProblem statement: The security in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is a critical issue due to the inherent limitations of computational capacity, storage capacity and power usage. Key management only makes sure the communicating nodes possess the necessary keys, at the same time protecting the confidentiality, integrity and authenticity of the communicated data. Approach: Proposed a RSA-CRT methodology for authenticated broadcast … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,413 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMobile Element Scheduling for Efficient Data Collection in Wireless Sensor Networks: A SurveyK. Indra Gandhi, P. NarayanasamyProblem statement: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) has become a very interesting field of research and has been deployed for various applications. The data sensed by the sensors need to be transmitted over to a Base Station (BS) where the data processing is done. Approach: The existing systems generally employ Multi-hop routing for data aggregation at the BS, where several nodes … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 15 Jan 2011 · 7,289 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImproving the Performance of the Peer to Peer Network by Introducing an Assortment of MethodsM. Sadish Sendil, N. NagarajanProblem Statement: Peer to Peer (P2P) systems have grown dramatically in recent years. The most popular type of P2P systems are file sharing networks, which are used to share various types of content over the Internet. Due to the increase in popularity of P2P systems, the network performance of these systems has become a very important issue in the design … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 16 Dec 2010 · 7,298 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCircumventing Picture Archiving and Communication Systems Server with Hadoop Framework in Health Care ServicesGopinath Ganapathy, S. SagayarajProblem statement: Features and challenges of the PACS server solutions are elaborated in the context of large scale computing. Approach: Hadoop is a pivotal piece of the data mining renaissance offers the ability to tackle large data sets in ways that weren’t previously feasible and clarifies certain functionalities such as MapReducer and Hadoop distributed file system. Results: The PACS server … …Journal of Social Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2010 · 8,088 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSecurity Challenges in Multicast Communication for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkS. Gunasekaran, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Multicasting communication network accepted a single message from an application and delivered copies of the message to multiple recipients at different locations. Recently, there has been an explosion of research literature on multicast communication environment. The objective of this study were to contribute the complexity of supporting current multicast applications, (i) the lack of reliable multicast transport mechanisms … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 5 · 31 May 2010 · 6,125 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImproving Triple Play Services Using Multi Protocol Label Switching TechnologyWaheed Yasin, Hamidah IbrahimProblem statement: Traditional IP networks have many limitations such as routing tables, which can be complex and time consuming. These limitations affect the performance of the network in some applications of triple play services (i.e., voice, video and data) which are characterized as time sensitive applications. Thus, Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology has been proposed to speed up the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2010 · 7,520 accessesView PDFCite
