Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAN EVENT DRIVEN SIMULATION FOR ADAPTIVE GENTLE RANDOM EARLY DETECTION (AGRED) ALGORITHMOmid Seifaddini, Azizol Abdullah, Shamala SubramaniamSimulations are used to find optimum answers for problems in wide areas. Active queue management algorithms such as RED, GRED, typically use simulators like ns2 which is an open source simulator or OPNET, OMNET which are commercial simulators. However, beside the benefits of using simulators like having defined modules, parameters. There are problems such as complexity, large integrated components and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 10 · 13 May 2014 · 7,009 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Dynamic Approach for Rate Adaptation in Mobile Adhoc NetworksPalaniammal Senniappan, Suganya SubramaniamA Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of mobile nodes with no fixed infrastructure. The absence of central authorization facility in dynamic and distributed environment affects the optimal utilization of resources like, throughput, power and bandwidth. Rate adaptation is the key technique to optimize the resource throughput. Some recently proposed rate adaptations use Request to Send/Clear to Send … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 6 · 8 Jun 2013 · 6,673 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordParticle Swarm and Neural Network Approach for Fault Clearing of Multilevel InvertersR. M.S. Parvathi, M. SivakumarThis study presents a machine learning technique for fault diagnostics in induction motor drives. A normal model and an extensive range of faulted models for the inverter-motor combination were developed and implemented using a generic commercial simulation tool to generate voltages and current signals at a broad range of operating points selected by a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based machine … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 6 · 8 Jun 2013 · 6,486 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordHigh Performance Computing on Fast Lock Delay Locked Loop with Low Power State and Simultanoeus Switching Noise ReductionT. S. Karthik, V. Jawahar Senthil KumarProblem statement: In any multimedia processor, controller may consume most of the on-chip memory resources. The memory requirement is directly depends on algorithm shared by different blocks, so leads to failure in the system models. Approach: This study presents the implementation of DLL unit used for memory optimization. Various aspects of the underlying coarse lock detector are explored and modifications … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 3 · 6 Jan 2012 · 7,172 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordQuality of Service Policy for IEEE 802.11 Networks with Service Rate Selection based on Fairness IndexLia Toledo Moreira Mota, Alexandre de Assis Mota, Luis Fernando FontolanProblem statement: The IEEE802.11 standard states that all stations have the same probability of accessing the network, but does not consider important parameters such as transmission rates and signal-to-noise ratios. However, these networks present an anomaly that allows a station with a low transmission rate to use the communication channel for a long time. Approach: In this context, this study … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 6,660 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordHand Gesture Recognition for Human-Computer InteractionS. Mohamed Mansoor Roomi, R. Jyothi Priya, H. JayalakshmiProblem statement: With the development of ubiquitous computing, current user interaction approaches with keyboard, mouse and pen are not sufficient. Due to the limitation of these devices the useable command set is also limited. Direct use of hands can be used as an input device for providing natural interaction. Approach: In this study, Gaussian Mixture Model (GMM) was used to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2010 · 8,311 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMethod of Object Detection for Mobile RobotSurachai PanichProblem statement: In general, there are two steps of object detection, which are object generation, where the locations of possible objects are in an image and object verification, where tests are performed to verify the presence of object in an image. Approach: The purpose of the proposed object recognition system was to detect the object which is in front the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 10 · 24 Aug 2010 · 7,428 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordToward a Good Decision to Improve the Weight of Control of Expenditure for Local CommunitiesAanouar Riad Solh, Mourad El BelkacemiIn order to improve the weight control of local government spending, we have developed a technique to supervise the classification of local authorities according to their expense ratios. This aims to develop the repository of rules and decision-making skills of business leaders of local communities and enabling to detect frauds in expenditure ratios that cause weakness of the Current Flow … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 3 · 26 Mar 2016 · 6,992 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordComparative Performance Evaluation of Routing Algorithms in IEEE 802.15.4 and IEEE 802.11 with Different Ad Hoc Routing ProtocolP. Anitha, C. ChandrasekarProblem statement: Wireless ADHOC networks are self organized dynamic networks can share wireless channel without any established central control standard for IEEE 802.11. Approach: The most common protocols are AODV, DSDV, DSR in ADHOC used to ensure the data transmission among themselves. To meet the need of low power and low cost IEEE 802.15.4 standard was developed for sensor networks. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,409 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordCustomized Privacy Preservation Using Unknowns to Stymie Unearthing Of Association RulesJ. Indumathi, G.V. UmaThe explosions of new data mining techniques has augmented privacy risks because now it is probable to powerfully coalesce and cross-examine massive data stores, accessible on the web, in the rummage around of earlier unidentified hidden patterns. Consecutively to make a overtly accessible system safe and sound, we must guarantee not only that private sensitive data have been trimmed out, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2007 · 7,117 accessesView PDFCite
