KhalafProblem statement: Past few years have witnessed a growing recognition of intelligent techniques for the construction of efficient and reliable Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS). Many methods and techniques were used for modeling the IDS, but some of them contribute little or not to resolve it. Approach: Intrusion detection system for local area network by using Support Vector Machines (SVM) was … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 6 Aug 2011 · 7,313 accessesView PDF Cite

DuraiswamyThe mobile node’s reputation in the Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) identifies its trust worthiness for secured multiple data communication. Unknown nature of the node’s communication status for initial period has great impact in the effective data transfer as MANET is self-organized and distributed. Problem statement: The functional operation of the mobile network relies on the trusty cooperation between the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 6,988 accessesView PDF Cite

Verkhovsky, Md Shiblee SadikProblem statement: Modern cryptographic algorithms are based on complexity of two problems: Integer factorization of real integers and a Discrete Logarithm Problem (DLP). Approach: The latter problem is even more complicated in the domain of complex integers, where Public Key Cryptosystems (PKC) had an advantage over analogous encryption-decryption protocols in arithmetic of real integers modulo p: The former PKC have … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2009 · 6,517 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordImproved Offline Signature Verification Scheme Using Feature Point Extraction MethodDebasish Jena, Banshidhar Majhi, Sanjay K. JenaSignature verification is a technology that can solve security problems in our networked society. A new improved offline signature verification scheme is proposed which is based on selecting 60 feature points from the geometric centre of the signature and compares them with the already trained feature points. The classification of the feature points utilizes statistical parameters like mean and variance. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2008 · 6,884 accessesView PDF Cite
