Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA TIME-DELAY CASCADING NEURAL NETWORK ARCHITECTURE FOR MODELING TIME-DEPENDENT PREDICTOR IN ONSET PREDICTIONAgus Buono, Imas Sukaesih Sitanggang, Mushthofa, Aziz KustiyoThe occurrence of rain before the real start of a rainy season often mislead farmers into thinking that rainy season has started and suggesting them to start planting immediately. In reality, rainy season has not started yet, causing the already-planted rice seed to experience dehydration. Therefore, a model that can predict the onset of rainy season is required, so that … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 6 · 29 Jan 2014 · 6,652 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPredicting Packet Transmission Data over IP Networks Using Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference SystemsSamira Chabaa, Abdelouhab ZeroualProblem statement: The statistical modeling for predicting network traffic has now become a major tool used for network and is of significant interest in many domains: Adaptive application, congestion and admission control, wireless, network management and network anomalies. To comprehend the properties of IP-network traffic and system conditions, many kinds of reports based on measured network traffic data have been … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2009 · 7,535 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordComparative Study of Data Mining Classification Techniques for Detection and Prediction of Phishing WebsitesLuai Al-ShalabiData mining is the process of discovering or extracting information from large amount of data that are stored in databases or datasets such as phishing dataset. Phishing is a vital web security problem that involves simulating legitimate websites to mislead online users in order to steal their sensitive information. This paper aims to detect and predict the type of the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 3 · 19 Mar 2019 · 7,478 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordFatigue Life Prediction of Screw Blade in Screw Sand Washing Machine under Random Load with Gauss DistributionJie Gong, Yun-Fei Fu, Wen Xia et al.The purpose of this study is to present a new method for estimating the fatigue life of the screw blade in the screw sand washing machine. To ensure the accuracy of numerical simulation, the loading area and the value of load are determined by means of the theoretical analysis. To ascertain the location of the stress peak and stress range, … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 22 Dec 2016 · 8,010 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordSTRATEGY PATTERNS PREDICTION MODELAram Baruch Gonzalez Perez, Jorge Adolfo Ramirez UrestiMulti-agent systems are broadly known for being able to simulate real-life situations which require the interaction and cooperation of individuals. Opponent modeling can be used along with multi-agent systems to model complex situations such as competitions like soccer games. In this study, a model for predicting opponent moves based on their target is presented. The model is composed by an … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 1 · 12 Nov 2013 · 6,858 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPrediction of Seismic Active Earth Pressure Using Curved Failure Surface with Localized StrainHemanta HazarikaProblem statement: Correct evaluation of the earth pressure against retaining structure during earthquake is essential for the safe and economic design of geotechnical structures. Progressive deformation in the backfill and the assumed shape of failure wedge affect the calculated values of seismic earth pressures. However, no research until now is available that considers both of these two factors in an … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2009 · 7,550 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPrediction of Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) Concentration Levels from the Mina Al-Fahal Refinery in Oman Using Artificial Neural NetworksSabah A. Abdul-Wahab, Saleh M. Al-AlawiIn this investigation, two Artificial Neural Network (ANN) models were applied for predicting ground-level sulfur dioxide (SO2) in the Sultanate of Oman in order to provide an early warning advisory for the protection of public health. The objective of the first model (Model I) was to use ANN to predict sulfur dioxide (SO2) levels at certain receptors from the Mina … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 5 · 31 Oct 2008 · 7,391 accessesView PDFCite
