Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFORMAL VERIFICATION OF SAFETY MESSAGE DISSEMINATION PROTOCOL FOR VANETSM. A. Berlin, Sheila AnandThis paper presents a formal verification of a safety message dissemination protocol used in vehicular ad-hoc networks. It is proposed to use Road Side Units to broadcast road hazard information to vehicles travelling on highways. Quick dissemination of road hazard information, like road blocks, slippery roads and other obstacles can help to prevent road accidents and improve passenger safety. Formal … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 9 Jul 2013 · 6,858 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCollaborative Caching Architecture for Continuous Query in Mobile DatabaseMohamed Ahmed Elfaki, Hamidah Ibrahim, Ali Mamat, Mohamed OthmanProblem statement: Cooperative caching, which allows sharing and coordination of cached data among clients, is a potential technique to improve the data access performance and availability in mobile ad hoc networks. However, variable data sizes, frequent data updates, limited client resources, insufficient wireless bandwidth and client’s mobility make cache management faces many challenges. Approach: In this study, we propose a … …American Journal of Economics and Business Administration, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 7 Jan 2011 · 8,875 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Swarm-based Distance Vector Routing to Support Multiple Quality of Service (QoS) Metrics in Mobile Adhoc NetworksR. Asokan, A. M. Natarajan, A. NivethaQuality of Service support for Mobile Ad-hoc Networks is a challenging task due to dynamic topology and limited resource. The main purpose of QoS routing is to find a feasible path that has sufficient resources to satisfy the constraints. A fundamental problem in QoS routing is to find a path between a source and destination that satisfies two or more … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 6,665 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Comparative Study between Various Protocols of MANET NetworksMohammed F. Al-Hunaity, Salam A. Najim, Ibrahiem M. El-EmaryMulticast Ad-Hoc on-Demand Distance Vector (MAODV) protocol keeps sending control packets within static periods whether there was sending of data packets or not, and it was not concerned with the amount of these data packets. Based on this, many people found out that there are a high number of control packets in the short-lived connection. The main idea of this … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 6,957 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAN EFFICIENT HYBRID ALGORITHM TO REDUCE LATENCY IN AD-HOC AGGREGATIONN. Rajkumar, N. K. Senthil Kumar, P. Subha, R. KavithaA data warehouse is a collection of data gathered and organized so that it can easily be analyzed, extracted, synthesized and also be used for the purpose of further understanding data. Peer to Peer networks are used for distribution and sharing of documents. In traditional techniques, when aggregate functions like average, sum and count are encountered, the aggregate operation is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 7 · 18 Feb 2014 · 6,908 accessesView PDF Cite
