Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractWireless Sensor Networks Fault Identification Using Data AssociationT. Abirami Kongu, P. Thangaraj, P. Priakanth KonguProblem statement: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are formed by thousands of lightweight nodes equipped with transducers for capturing information. The captured data are transmitted using multi hop routes to a base station, also called a sink. They can be extensively deployed during emergency response, medical monitoring and missiion critical applications requiring extensive data capture from sensors.Wireless sensor network applications include … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 9 · 11 Aug 2012 · 6,942 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractUninterruptible Power Supply Using Solar Rechargeable BatteryJ.C. Osuwa, E.C. IgwiroProblem statement: A 600 watts Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) that consists of an inverter operated with solar rechargeable battery has been constructed and characterized. Approach: An inverter of high switching frequency and high power handling, a sensor, an oscillator and other electronic devices were employed in the circuitry. Performance tests involved measurements of supply currents and voltages from the battery … …Physics International, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2010 · 7,412 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractStability and Ergonomic Design Features of Tractor Mounted Hydraulic Elevator for Coconut HarvestingKishor Purushottamrao Kolhe, Ashok G. Powar, Amit D. Dhakane, Sham H. MankarProblem statement: The most important design criterion of mechanized device was safety; safety comprises both the safety of operator and safety of maintenance personnel. Failures and safety of harvesting platform of Tractor Mounted Hydraulic Elevator (TMHE) powered by tractor PTO was tested by finite element method for the mechanical harvesting of coconut orchards using digital ergonomic hart rate meter. The … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 20 Sep 2011 · 8,326 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordTransient Response of a Novel Displacement Transducer for Magnetic Levitation SystemMrunal Deshpande, Badrilal MathurProblem statement: In magnetic levitation system, position sensors are used to obtain a voltage proportional to the position of the suspended object. This is an essential feedback signal for stabilizing the system. These sensors make the system clumsy and prone to failures. To eliminate any physical attachment on the levitated object for the purpose of measuring its displacement, a novel … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 5 Oct 2011 · 7,235 accessesView PDF Cite
