Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIndoor Characterisation using High-Resolution Signal Processing Based on Five-Port Techniques for Signal Input Multiple Output SystemsSmari Mouheddin, Bel hadj Taher JamelProblem statement: The development of wideband mobile communication systems requires a deep knowledge of the characteristics of the indoor mobile radio channel. The characterization of the indoor multi-path propagation structure is important in developing antifading techniques for high-speed digital radio access. The high-resolution of the estimation of the Time of Arrival (ToA) and the Direction of Arrival (DoA) of multi-path … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2009 · 7,684 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Indoor Positioning System (IPS) using Grid ModelWutjanun Muttitanon, Nitin Kumar Tripathi, Marc SourisTo date many positioning systems are available to determine or track a user's location; three main categories include Global Positioning System (GPS), wide area location system and indoor positioning system. GPS has its limitation (poor signals) in indoor or urban uses, while wide-area location systems are cellular networks dependent. For indoor positioning system many approaches like infrared sensing, radio frequency, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2007 · 7,175 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSecurity Manager - Key to Restrict the Attacks in BluetoothPushpa Suri, Sona RaniBluetooth is the technology that utilizes radio frequency waves as a way to communicate wirelessly between digital devices. The Bluetooth user has the choice of point-to-point or point-to-multipoint links whereby communication can be held between two devices, or up to eight. When devices are communicating with each other they are known as piconet, and each device is designated as a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2007 · 6,566 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPerformance Evaluation of Channel Propagation Models and Developed Model for Mobile CommunicationYahia ZakariaPropagation models represent a solidifying of mathematical equations and algorithms that are used for radio signal propagation prediction in specific regions. In this research different propagation models are analyzed and compared. These propagation models have been proposed at the operating frequency of 3.8 GHz for different transmitter antenna heights in all types of terrain. These propagation models depend on location, … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2017 · 8,409 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMEMS Based RF Energy Harvester for Battery-Less Remote Control: A ReviewNoor Hidayah Mohd Yunus, Jahariah Sampe, Jumril Yunas, Alipah PawiThe paper deals with the growing interest of energy harvesting systems due to great development in many new emerging technologies in electronics and telecommunication. The research focuses particularly about rectenna element comprises of antenna, impedance matching and rectifier. The rectenna is applied under Micro-Electromechanical-System (MEMS) technology design use in Radio Frequency (RF) energy harvester. MEMS is a technology of miniaturization … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 2 · 19 Feb 2017 · 9,357 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Novel Linear Array Antenna Based on UWB Slot AntennaFaten Ben Ghenaya, Ridha Ghayoula, Ali GharsallahThis paper introduces the novel Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) antennas for UWB applications. We used two different structures, the first is fed by micro-strip line and the second is a compact coplanar waveguide fed planar slot antenna. These designs are a small on planar antenna. The substrate used is FR4 that have the characteristics following: Permittivity εr = 4.4 Impulse Radio … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 3 · 25 Mar 2016 · 7,431 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordQuality Measurements on the Radio Interface of the Mobile Communication in the Proximity of the Power SystemSaid Ghnimi, Adnen Rajhi, Ali Gharsallah, Fakhreddine KhlifaProblem statement: The electric power lines and its associated equipments generally produce an electromagnetic noise in their environment, which are likely to have dangerous effects on propagation environment to the Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) cellular mobile network. Approach: In this study, we analyzed the characteristics of the power line noise and its correlation with the GSM burst; showing … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 26 Mar 2015 · 7,000 accessesView PDFCite
