Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMulticore Based Open Loop Motor Controller Embedded System for Permanent Magnet Direct Current MotorK. Baskaran, K.S. Vijula GraceProblem statement: In an advanced electronics world most of the applications are developed by microcontroller based embedded system. Approach: Multicore processor based motor controller was presented to improve the processing speed of the controller and improve the efficiency of the motor by maintaining constant speed. It was based on the combination of Cortex processor (Software core) and Field Programmable Gate … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 6 · 22 Mar 2012 · 7,035 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractField Programmable Gate Array-Based Pulse-Width Modulation for Single Phase Active Power FilterN. A. Rahim, Z. IslamProblem statement: The design and implementation of a sinusoidal Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) generator for a single-phase hybrid power filter is presented. Approach: The PWM was developed in an Altera® Flex 10 K Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and the modulation index was selected by calculating the DC bus voltage of the active filter through a digital controller, by Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2009 · 7,293 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordDynamic Partial Reconfiguration Contribution on System on Programmable Chip Architecture for Motor Drive ImplementationHedi Abdelkrim, Slim Ben Othman, Ahmed Karim Ben Salem, Slim Ben SaoudProblem statement: Nowadays, Reconfigurable System on Chip (RSoC) shows great potential in many high performance applications that benefit from Hardware customization. Approach: In this study, we present a design approach of FPGA based Controller for electromechanical system. In this way, we present solutions obtained by Hardware/Software Code sign methodology targeted for the implementation of a motor control drive system using … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 18 Feb 2012 · 8,978 accessesView PDF Cite
