Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDiscrete Simulation Framework for Wireless Cellular NetworksM. Al-Sanabani, S. Subramaniam, M. Othman, Z. ZukarnainThe aim of the discrete simulation framework is to deal with issues of the next generation of wireless cellular networks (e.g., multimedia traffic, radio resource management and mobility... etc) and to provide a platform for current and future investigations involving wireless cellular networks. The simulator is built from the scratch to enable customization requirements of any research and to provide … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2008 · 7,070 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsTechnology Use in the Virtual R&D TeamsNader Ale Ebrahim, Shamsuddin Ahmed, Salwa Hanim Abdul Rashid, Zahari TahaProblem statement: Although, literature proves the importance of the technology role in the effectiveness of virtual Research and Development (R&D) teams for new product development. However, the factors that make technology construct in a virtual R&D team are still ambiguous. The manager of virtual R&D teams for new product development does not know which type of technology should be used. … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2012 · 10,750 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractGait Analysis Combining Sports Biomechanics and ImagingChao ZhuAiming at the problems of marker positioning error, soft tissue interference, and insufficient personalized modeling ability in traditional gait analysis, this study proposes a gait assessment method that integrates sports biomechanics and multimodal imaging analysis. Firstly, based on the public OU-ISIR gait database, a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is used to extract the key gait features in the human silhouette … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 22, Issue 2 · 20 Jul 2026 · 850 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEvaluation of Machine Learning Models to Predict Student Academic Performance Using Structured Educational DataHardik Ishwarbhai Patel, Dharmendra PatelThis study analyses the use of machine learning for predicting the academic performance of students using their academic information from the institution, combined with socio-economic information that comes from outside sources. The collection of information is done using structured questionnaires as well as through data extraction from the Student Information System (SIS). To increase the reliability of models built, a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 5 · 26 May 2026 · 1,419 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Comparative Study of Resampling, Cost-Sensitive, and Ensemble Techniques for Handling Class Imbalance in Indonesian Financial DataGunawan Kurnia, Ditdit Nugeraha UtamaHandling class imbalance is a critical challenge in machine learning applications, particularly in financial domains where minority instances often represent significant anomalies such as fraud or audit risks. Various oversampling and undersampling methods were tested, alongside cost-sensitive adjustments and ensemble models including Random Forest, AdaBoost, Gradient Boosting, and XGBoost. The evaluation, based on 10-fold stratified cross-validation and performance metrics such … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 2 · 27 Feb 2026 · 1,874 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractUMPM-Net: A Multimodal Deep Learning Framework for Colorectal Cancer PrognosisK. Muthuchamy, S K. Piramu PreethikaColorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common cancers worldwide, for which early prediction of patient outcomes is important for personalised treatment planning and to improve survival. However, current prediction systems are limited in the fact that they are based on single-modality data and cannot capture the complex interactions between clinical, imaging, and genomic factors. To overcome these shortcomings, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 9 · 20 Sep 2026 · 613 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractReal-Time Monitoring and Injury Risk Warning Algorithm Based on Data Fusion of Motor Muscle ContractionGuomin Wang, Jingying HuangThe existing sports injury warning algorithms are difficult to achieve dynamic injury risk modeling based on individual muscle characteristics while ensuring real-time fusion efficiency of multimodal signals. This article proposes a real-time muscle contraction state perception and injury risk warning algorithm based on adaptive weighted feature fusion and lightweight temporal modeling. The system synchronously collected surface electromyography (sEMG), Inertial Measurement … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 10 Aug 2026 · 1,089 accessesView PDFCite
