Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Mobile Robot Path Planning Using Genetic Algorithm in Static EnvironmentIsmail AL-Taharwa, Alaa Sheta, Mohammed Al-WeshahIn this study we present our initial idea for using genetic algorithms to help a controllable mobile robot to find an optimal path between a starting and ending point in a grid environment. The mobile robot has to find the optimal path which reduces the number of steps to be taken between the starting point and the target ending point. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2008 · 20,305 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign, Validation, Simulation and Parametric Evaluation of a Novel Protocol for Locating Mobile Agents in Multiregion EnvironmentRama Sushil, Kumkum Garg, Rama BhargavaMobile agents are processes that can be dispatched from source computer and be transported to remote servers for execution, have been widely argued to be an important enabling technology for future systems. Location management is a necessity for locating mobile agents in a network of mobile agent hosts for controlling, monitoring and communication during processing and it still represents an … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 6,936 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Secure Protocol Based on a Sedentary Agent for Mobile Agent EnvironmentsAbdelmorhit E. Rhazi, Samuel Pierre, Hanifa BouchenebThe main challenge when deploying mobile agent environments pertains to security issues concerning mobile agents and their executive platform. This paper proposes a secure protocol which protects mobile agents against attacks from malicious hosts in these environments. Protection is based on the perfect cooperation of a sedentary agent running inside a trusted third host. Results show that the protocol detects … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2007 · 6,878 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsQuality Measurements on the Radio Interface of the Mobile Communication in the Proximity of the Power SystemSaid Ghnimi, Adnen Rajhi, Ali Gharsallah, Fakhreddine KhlifaProblem statement: The electric power lines and its associated equipments generally produce an electromagnetic noise in their environment, which are likely to have dangerous effects on propagation environment to the Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) cellular mobile network. Approach: In this study, we analyzed the characteristics of the power line noise and its correlation with the GSM burst; showing … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 26 Mar 2015 · 7,000 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Fault Tolerant Mobile Agent Information Retrieval SystemR. Punithavathi, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Most of the information retrieval systems used only client-server architectures. The client-server model though powerful, had some limitations. In mobile computing environment which has both wired network and wireless networks with limited communication capabilities, the performance of the system was very low. Approach: Mobile agents are considered a suitable technology to develop applications such as information retrieval system … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 5 · 31 May 2010 · 7,203 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsNovel Approach to Determine the Effects of MS Environment using the Portable GPS Receiver with Built-in AntennaWan Azlan Wan Zainal Abidin, Kiyotaka Fujisaki, Mitsuo TateibaCommunication impairment on the Mobile Satellite (MS) path for non-geostationary satellite is mainly due to effect of multipath and shadowing. In order to study the signal quality received by the MS user, a receiver system that has similar characteristics to the actual receiver used by the MS user should be used. This study presents a novel approach to determine the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2008 · 6,576 accessesView PDFCite
